I've heared some great things about MyMyBox metal pads, and have decided to order one. They say the Blueshark metal pads are the best to get, but there aren't currently any in stock without the bar. I was wondering if this pad would be a good buy. I'm wanting to order it pretty quickly, so any help at all would be appreciated. ^__^

I would not reccomend it. I've heard bad things about those. If I were you, I'd wait for them to get in more barless Bluesharks.

Also, you REALLY want to avoid bumping your threads here. Not everyone here is that nice, so uhh yeah.

Okay, thank you.

I'm sorry. I usually don't venture out into the controllers forum, and no one posted for a few hours... I'll try not to do it again. E1.gif

Well, sooner or later, you'll get better, and you're gonna want a bar for 10 foot songs. So I recommend going for the one with the bar. I've heard it's more decent than any other bar. Unless you plan on making your own.

I would strongly recommend against getting a blueshark, or anything from mymybox for that matter.

To make a long story short, I bought a defective blueshark w/ bar from them...and the x button and control box both (separately) ceased to function within a half hour of play. Also, the pad appeared to be used, was built very poorly, and the bar that came with it was uninstallable (it was bent at an angle so it would not fit into the brackets). If you wanna read more, there's a longer post here.

And here is Better Business Bureau's report on Mymybox: report

Bad pad occasionally happens - CF and other namebrands have it too. There is no need IMO to let one bad pad ruin it entirely. It also sounds like some of the damage could have come in shipping, given the horror stories involved with game pads shipped by ground.

This was a clearly used pad, there were signs of long term use. Letters and logo fading, etc. Also, besides the pad itself, mymybox's customer service is absolute BS. They have a failing grade with the Better Business Bureau, and have not responded to 10 phone calls and 4 emails I have sent them demanding a refund.

The pad, when fully-functional, is great! But mymybox is a worthless company who owes a lot of people a lot of money through their scams.
