I'm also considering buying a Cobalt Flux soon, and I have some questions.
1) I've heard from people that the newer CFs are crap and recently their customer support is non-existent. Is this true?
2) Does the arcade mod recreate the arcade feel satisfactorily? Will I be able to go to the arcade and find no problems adjusting after a song or two?
3) In videos I've seen the pad shift around a tiny bit. Is it noticeable when playing? |

2) No, but they have similar enough measurements and shape that you CAN go to the arcade and adjust after just a song or two, if that.
3) I've had a CF move 4 feet on one song before while I was playing. It really depends on the flooring though. I can't tell you specifics of what floors are better for slide prevention than others, but I'm sure someone else can. _________________

I only weigh 125 pounds, and I'd be playing on carpet. |

Awesome.
One more question. If I get a faulty pad and need to send it back for a replacement or something, will I have to pay the shipping cost, or will they take care of it? |

YOU pay shipping there, THEY pay shipping back. I'm getting a blueshark pad for 100 dollars more. |

They are.
Take it from me, someone who has one. They're great when they aren't pad missing though. _________________

I have some major worries about Cobalt Flux as well at the moment.
I ordered a pad recently, and am extremely worried about their customer service at this point. I purchased a pad about 2 weeks ago, and it got to me fine - but no converter box.
I really hope they get back with me about my missing converter, if not...and I have to build my own, that's going to suck. |

I have the older control boxes, I was wondering if there is an adapter for xbox 360 (are they the same as xbox?) that works well as I am anxiously waiting for DDR Universe. |

So do they still sell the older versions of the CF or do they just sell the newer ones cause i really don't want to spend $300 on a pad that will not work, or should i just buy a blueshark. |

it's been like a month since i heard people complaining about the new CF's being crappy and i'm just wondering if the company is still selling these and if the company is still bad in customer service?. i really want to buy one, but don't want 300 dollars to be a total waste if the CF is a bad product. |

thats funny, because on my CF i bought used(the guy said he got it early 2006), i'm able to get better scores on it than i do at arcades when i play stepmania with the judge at 6.
i really do love my CF. the only things i dont love about it are
1)lack of bar, which will be solved in the summer
2)it slides a good bit because the grip top is very worn.
really, in my experience, the CF pads have been nothing short of wonderful. _________________

J-POP_FOR_LIFE>>>Yeah, the ones that were not made in late 2006 were fine, but the ones now are 100% awful. It's funny, I can pass most 12's and almost FC some 11's, but I can't FC Land of The Rising Sun (Hard)? |

i was thinking about buying a CF pad, because i've wanted one for years, as being known as the best pad you can buy.
but now im almost ready to buy, i look at their site, doesnt seem to have been updated for a while, and the forums dont work. and then i come here of course, and people are saying their pads and customer service arent up to par anymore.
what's the truth of all this? assuming i want the best pads i can get, are the CF still it? or am i wasting my money? |

You could hold your breath with CF and their *now crappy* customer service, or you could go for a Blueshark and hope that it's good. I've heard tons of complaints about CF, but only about two about the Blueshark, and they were both fixed relitively fast.
www.mymybox.com
...and yeah MMB and CF's forums are down due to MASSIVE porn spam. =\ |

the forum's migrated to cobaltflux.forumer.com basically all the pro cf users are there that can help you, and CF doesn't really update much, also I don't think you can buy them right now because the Buy Now! button is red _________________
