Back in the MAX2 days when I was very young and never payed attention to crap, I thought that the announcer was actually saying "beatmania IIDX" when it would go to the DDRMAX2 screen. I immediatly called IIDX better than DDR because it didn't have those stupid characters that danced with you.

Turns out I got half of that right.

i used to think that no one ever got AAA or even AA on songs above like 7-8 foot and that those scores were only for people playing on beginner-light.

WAAAAAY back in my beginning days I thought that the songs on the local 3rd mix, if not in English, were all Japanese. (Now, in retrospect, most of them were just the Korean hacked songs...)

I also used to believe that the steps only went up to 8th notes, which were my total bane for about two months of my dance-game life. This was proven inaccurate when I started playing again, on Extreme, and I started playing on Standard.
