I started a website http://www.videogameworkout.net and I plan on losing 15lbs playing DDR and Wii boxing every day for about a half hour. I figure between the two of them I'll get a full body workout. Just curious if anyone else here has lost weight with DDR or is trying to stay in shape by playing it. _________________

I haven't, but I have two friends that were very overweight before they played DDR (one big, the other huge). After they played for some-odd amount of time, they lost a good deal of weight. They're still somewhat big, but nowhere near as large as they were before. _________________

While I have only lost about 5 or so pounds playing DDR, as I started playing again I went through a growth spurt and grew about a good 5 or 6 inches. Since I kept the same weight through he growth spurt I have begun to slim down a lot, so I guess in a sense I have lost quite a bit of weight through ddr. _________________

yup! that's why i got DDR! (well that and because it's HELLA FUN.) i havent lost any weight since i started playing but i have built up a lot of leg muscle so i think my body fat percentage must have decreased. although i still have flabby arms.
off-topic, does bar-raping make your arms stronger? cuz if so i might put a chair behind me... if not i'll just pump weights while i step |

Why is that odd? It was back somewhere at Bemanistyle or something a very long time ago. _________________

I've Lost 40 pounds since I started playing in August, I use to be on a diet while playing, and though I've been eating more regularly I'm still Keeping my weight off. My Nexen is currently broke so I can't play at home but I soon as I get it back I'm planning on dropping more
I love people asking me how I lost so much weight and I just say
"Playing video games " |

I have nothing against playing DDR to lose weight as long as you only play at home. All you can do is laugh when you see some fatass at the arcade straining in agony just so he can pass captain jack on light.
Then again, I guess it's ok if you're one of those fat people who can magically pass 10 footers... but it still looks nasty... |

I started in July and I've lost about 10 pounds since then. I'm not overweight, but still have more pounds than I want, so 10 is good for me. I have about 15 more to go... ish.... |

Im prolly around the 9 footer range, I can do some easier 10's and i passed PS at home, im 6'4" and 255, I got most of the technique down, but stamina for 10's isn't there, I can do multiple sets though before I get too tired tho I remember when I first started getting tired on Captain Jack haha |
