Hello I'm Vantro. I'm 18, a college student, and I have a terrible DDR addiction. (Or at least thats what the men in the white jackets say) I see arrows when I sleep, and my boss at work doesn't ever want to hang out and stomp on the blinking arrows with me.

I play at a local Nathan's where there are hotdogs. I'm not quite a 10 player yet I'm just getting the hang of 7's, but I'll be up there someday. E4.gif

I'm so new here I don't even have my DDR game yet. I just ordered it two days ago (after spending gobs of hours here on this site over the course of a couple of weeks). I have never played DDR but I watched a couple of You Tube videos to understand what a friend of mine was talking about. Looked fun.

I'm a middle-aged lady who wants to get more fit and trim, and I have a much younger friend who raves about this game. I nearly bought the kind on eBay that you just hook up to the TV or computer, but I'm glad I found this forum and learned more about that choice and what the other choices were.

I finally decided on the DDRMAX 2 Game-BNS Ultra DX Xtreme Fusion Dance Pad at the Buy-N-shop site.

I decided on Max2 because I don't want to have to struggle to unlock things. I nearly went with SuperNova because someone said "don't" get it because it has more Pop music. I think I might like more Pop music actually, but I have no idea what kind of music to expect. Is there anyone else here that is like me?

The only other arcade game I've ever played is the arcade version of "Propcycle". I found it at a resort and played it like a maniac, even getting a perfect score. I don't think they are made anymore unfortunately. If anyone knows of one (that works) that is for sale, please let me know.

Thank you all for your posts and the information you share here.

I never did think to come to this area of the forums before, so I think now it's time that I do.

My DDR name is Dancing Mad, a name I decided on after some thought, deciding that any of my usual nicknames just either wouldn't fit my newfound love of dance (even if it's just dance simulation) or would already be in use. The source of the name is from the OST of Final Fantasy 6. The official title of the final battle sequence music is "Dancing Mad". Ok, that's the history on that.

I'm 24 years old (as of this past November 25th), want to go back to school, currently work as a ride operator for the family amusement I play DDR at, Castles N' Coasters, don't make enough, and want to find something in addition to or better. That'll wait until the new year.

I consider how long everyone else has been playing DDR, and I still consider myself a newbie to the game, despite the scores I have posted up to DDRecall. My signature has a link to my DDRecall profile, which shows at the very least scores I've recorded, and has something of a timeline of my milestone accomplishments. How long have I been playing? As of today, 4 months and a week, approximately. The exact date I began playing seriously was July 30th.

Hope to have a wonderful time here, already am, and sure I still will. Cheers!

My name is James and I have been playing ddr since 2000.

I first started playing on a solo machine back in an arcade in Brighton Michigan, It was called Blasters. Since then they had lots of different ddr machines, but eventually the arcade closed.

I bought my own metal pad and have been playing since 2002, on my modded ps2. I now have an xbox 360 and cant wait for universe. But until then I will wait and play my ultramix games.

Yeah, I am Acid-Graffiti. I live in Swift Current saskatchewan. I am turning 13. I can play doubles with two pads pretty good. I can do singles really good. The Highest accomplishment for me is a AA on Butterfly, on Challenging, on DDR Extreme 2. I will probobly end up posting this in the accomplishments thread. I was brought here, or kinda like referred here by someone on a different ddr forum.

Hello all~ I'm Feather from Ottawa, Canada... I was introduced to DDR about three years ago, but I only started playing continuously when I received a Cobalt Flux metal pad for my birthday last year. I tried ITG for the first time about two months ago, and fell in love with it. Right now, I'm still working on my PA, and can pass some songs on expert mode such as Charlene and Tribal Style. My greatest difficulties are: lack of stamina and incapability to bar-rape.

I hope to improve by taking advice from all of you. E1.gif

Well I've been here in the past, but this is the first post I've made in a couple years so let me re-introduce myself.

I am Specner age 15. Not to serious about DDR, but I've been playing since third mix was released in the US. I don't love PA, but sometimes I'll go for an oni mode. Only DDR machine around me is Extreme, so I'm a little out of the loop. I can do any song on it though, on any difficulty. Pleased to re-meet you.

Woohoo, time to break the chain of monotony, uber cool--or lame--intro coming up!

Born in the sunny SouthCal, but raised in the frigid plains of nothingness that comprise South Dakota, Van was naive to the world of rhythmic based games. So much that once Van finally got in contact with DDR, did a powerful surge of "dance magic spread.

Now, a couple of years later, Van does not hesistate to unleash the frantic, crazy style of dance through the local arcade as quite possibly the only Asian in Su-Fu that dares dance the dance of ..... __________ <-- [insert something witty]

So, how was that?

Wow, i never really noticed this thread until now... oh well
I'm 14 years old and I started playing DDR in... 2002.
I had a friend who would play DDR at arcades just 4 fun, and i'd just laugh at him and go back to my intense game of Sul Calbur or Tekken, until one day. I was really bored and had planty of money to spend, so I thought what the hell, I'll try this DDR thing. I don't know if it was a good decision or a bad decision, all I know is i've been hooked evar since!!!
I am now a heavy/oni player, who can pass most 10 footers. I live in Spokane, WA, and have a TX4000 pad, a ps2 w/ DDRMAX2 DDREX DDREX2 and DDRSN. I Also use my pad for some intense SM action!! E4.gif

Jai a.k.a kyd0 (kid zero) from Jersey City, NJ. I play mostly in NY, but i'll travel anywhere that seems interesting. I've been playing ddr for 3 years, this day exactly.
I can freestyle, or rather manage to put one together cause i have skills and rhythm, but i've just been playing difficult songs and AAAing stuff.I play doubles sometimes and im rather good at that as well.
I've won a few tournaments and im looking to gather a few more before i retire...in about 50 years lol.

I'm not new to DDR, I'm just coming back from a 2 year hiatus. When I did play before, I played at Wilton Mall, Cyberstation in Crossgates Mall, and occasionally at my local bowling alley. For all the people in the Albany/Saratoga, NY area, I was the skinny and short kid who everyone thought was amazing. But then I got tired of DDR and took a break from it. I'm now trying to get my skills back. I started playing again to lose weight, because I am overweight for my age (I'm 13, by the way). I'm pretty sure none of the Albany, NY DDR players remember me, but oh well. And they probably wouldn't anyway, because I look nothing like I did back 2 years ago.

So, um, hi.

I'm 17 years old, and I started playing in 05, and started playing heavily around christmas06 since I got DDR SuperNOVA for christmas.

I used to think DDR was gay, because I was really into 2d fighters like Street Fighter and King of Fighters. One day one of my friends dragged me into playing it,(on the condition that he would pay for my game) and after that day I played it at the mall here and there if I ever had any extra money to spend on a game.

Now that I play the console version when ever I get the chance, and most of the money I spend at the mall is on DDR.(Actually, I'm posting this while picking my next song right now)

I play mostly basic/light and difficult/standard, can pass most 5 footers, and can pass some 6 footers as well.

I'm in the middle of looking for a crew to play with, so if ur in the orlando/ocoee FL area pm me.

Hi, I'm sleekysilver and i've been playing ddr since 2003. I can pass 9 and 10 footers, but I won't play a song just cause it's hard so i can show off. I mostly play ddr for the fun of it, and i enjoy songs that i think are pretty or have funky step charts.

I'm Taylor and I've been playing since 2004. I can AA most 9 foot and A half of the ten footers. My favorite song is a tie between Rhythm and Police and Radical Faith. Least favorite song has to be Secret Rendezvous.
