ground is the one that's got a plate for each button (the top squiggley plate on the X, O, Tri, Squ), and X, O, and directionals are precisely where they are on the controller.
But make sure your controller allows your to hit up and down AND left and right at the same time first. _________________

Nah, you're not soldering to the holes, you're soldering to the little plates. (you'll want to drill a really tiny hole in 'em if you can, then weld the end of the wire into a tiny point, stick it in the hole then solder it on, but if you can't do that, it can still work)
I made a diagram, but for some reason, it won't upload to my photobucket.
Email me: [email protected]; I'll just send it to you as an attachment. _________________

Blue is ground. There's a lot of it to work with, including two joints which you could reheat to add a wire.
Orange is up, hot pink is left, magenta is right, red is down. These will be harder to solder; your best bet is soldering to the pads.
Yellow is square, green is circle. These will be a pain in the buttocks to connect to - the pads are segmented oddly, and the traces are very short. |

you shoulod of bought a cheaper controller
atleast int eh past the EA controllers had contacts that were reguallry shaped in to half circles which made soldering far easyer and didnt have any sort of coating (like good expencive controlers do) over the contacts
when soldering remember not to let eh iron sit for too long in one spot or youll damage the board (3 seconds is as long as it shoudl take you) _________________

Thank you so much for your diagram It really helped me a lot
I'm done with the soldering part, and it works!!! I only solder the D-pad and put them back to the controller, so the start, select still work! _________________
