Well I'm a girl and this may be very stereotypical..but most girls care about their clothes and their make up more than trying to get good at DDR. I started after a lot of my friends, but now I'm so much better than them..because I got good and because they quit. The reason they all quit is because they didn't wanna get sweaty. I, however, am an athlete. I use this game to keep me in shape during off season and to have fun as well. And yes I do play competitively because I feel that I..well..I guess I'm pretty good..compared to everyone in the world who plays..I'd say I'm..average or barely above average. And yes I do play competitively because I have a competitive drive..which can sometimes get out of hand. riiight.gif
http://groovestats.com/index.php?page=profile&id=2093 <-- Iono why this is here..but eh..in case anyone's interested.

Also, whoever said that DDR skill shouldn't be a double standard is absolutely correct. Sorry I forgot who said that.

Quoted for emphasis. This is like the third bumped thread in Chit-Chit.

Why does it matter if anyone bumps a thread like this?

Wow. Obviously I really am out in the sticks,since I've only met two male DDR players out of about ten people who actually play. Of course,most of the guys around here are more interested in shooting things with shotguns then stepping on arrows...

I'm sorry if this is off topic by now,I only read the first few pages riiight.gif;

I agree with the person above me that DDR is definitely male dominated, but I enjoy the underestimation I get from guys. A guy asks to verse me and I kick his butt and make him look completely dumb. I love it. Haha.

I'm exactly like her. Totally agree. I love the underestimation i get from guys too. The only difference is that im only 13.

Sticking to the idea of female DDR players, the best player I know is a girl. riiight.gif

The point has been made.
Many girls play DDR.
And yes...there are some who are really good.
Even some are better than the guys.
