Ordered the dex 6th shipped out dec 14th spost to get here 19th but got delayed and delivered the 20th.
OK
THE REVIEW!
Received today in good condition 1 or 2 minor not noticeable scratches. Once you get all the blue plastic protective junk off u can use it for a mirror in the morning
-
Ratings 1-10
10 being brand new Arcade platform sensitivity look build etc.
Feel (9/10)
Absolutely Amazing I don't play at an arcade often maybe couple times a month due to driving distance but as far as feel almost an exact replica of the arcade. The buttons do step in but hardly noticeable just enough so you can keep on beat, Makes a good shallow thump.
Design/Materials (9/10)
Now first thing I have to point out is the arrows My god their thick I expected them to be thick but wow when ur actually looking at em! they are awesome! O_o Other than that design is nice Like the ITG arrows Looks good on the pad kind of wish there was LED's though .
Sensitivity (10/10)
One word... Godly.... keep holds with a finger on mine no miss steps ever has yet to trigger offbeat. Hands on ITG can be done with a slap of the hand or push with a finger. I sat down and FC Mellow medium with just hands..
The Bar (8/10)
The thing that people ask questions most about.... Now out of the box I was disappointed with bar cause it was basicly the same bar as the TX-2000.. But later on I installed it Might look like a tx-2000 But its sturdy. It wiggles just a bit but its not even noticeable while playing and I weight about 200...
Overall 9.5/10
Looks incredible Feels incredible has incredible sensitivity Would prefer it over playin on an arcade pad personally
As for people who have trouble with sliding no matter what surface u put it on it does not move an INCH...
compared to my old TX-2000
In an hour of playing-----------------------------
got a triple star 4th song I played on the BS on mellow Hard-
all my Exellents literally dropped by half normal 45-50 now getting 20-25.
As for greats.. wait greats whats that? I can SDG pretty much every 9 footer and below now with the pad when was doing 15-30..
After 7 rounds on ITG switched to Ex AAA'd kick the can first try.
Switched to ex 2 SDG'd everysong pretty much except Sakua heavy.. and a couple others..
This pad is worth its weight in gold.. And its well worth the wait.. |

OK....so I have a CF that's about a year and a half old, it's due for a cleaning, but it definitely still has a lot of life left in it.
Should I get a nexen/BS to replace it now/soon, or just play until the CF wears out in probably about 2-3 years (yeah, I have heard of the very very first set of CFs are starting to wear out now) _________________

Keep it until it wears out. There's no use in getting rid of a perfectly good pad so you can get another perectly good pad. _________________

W00t, I finally got to break in my new Nexen pad
First of I ordered it On a Sunday, and received it Tuesday one week later
It wasn't shipped until Thursday however (probably due to the mass orders from Christmas time)
Overall however I was impressed with the shipping, on account that the thing ways a TON (Good thing)
First things first:
THIS PAD IS SHINEY AND HELLA GOOD LOOKIN'
I started off with a few 8 and 9 steps and the response it great
It feels good under my feet (I play with socks) and I haven't sensed any missed arrows at all
I'm basically an armature now, but since this morning my scores improved from Cs to As and even some AAs just from the response of the pad
I'll post later about how it's endurance has held up, but for now there was only one small little scratch from shipping
I would however deferentially say this pad is worth it's money
Here's a pic right after I opened it:

NICE review! It looks like it makes a sort of clanky noise when you press it in..... But i just talked to you online you said putting washers between the brackets helps it a lot. Thanks! |

Enjoy I did. Now that I've seen that much of a Blueshark, I think I'm going to return my CF and get one. One question though (directed toward anyone), can I play six panel on it, or would that kill the X and O? _________________

What are you running it on?
Stepmania?
If so, where'd you get your ITG songs?
I've been looking for a good site to find them on for a while, and the only one I know of is invite only (and underground thanks to some nasty copyrights and stuff), and I haven't gotten around to asking my friend with invites left to invite me.
Anyway, good review; nice to find out a few of the major redeeming qualities of the BS.
revenG: Wow, I'm sorry to hear that; have you tried talking to MMB about it yet? My tx1000's had stuff like that when I first got them, but some basic cleanings had them working until construction flaws started getting in the way. _________________

Dam my parents minds change every time, so i have been informed that my parents NOW want to buy me a Blueshark but i checked and they were sold out the ones without the Bar, guess i have to wait until they make more, or does anyone know when they are going to make some more without the bar, because with the bar it comes to 450 and i want to save $50 bucks, so does anyone if they are going to make some more without the bars any time soon. |
