|
|
I've been looking through a lot of the threads, and it seems like the only Metal pads with bars have gotten crap reviews, that not only the pad sucks, but the bar is wobbly and overall useless.
Does anyone know of any quality metal pads that have a bar attachment (or a way to make my own and easily attach it), or perhaps something I can use lying around the house that would simulate a bar if I should just get a standard bar-less metal pad? I've tried chairs and such, and they don't really simulate the arcade as well as I'd like, and I'm completely at a loss. |

Mymybox Blueshark's come with bars and I've seen videos of them while being bar-raped during 12's and it doesn't move very much. Still, if you want the exact arcade bar feeling, make your own. Perhaps make a base mod for a Cobalt Flux and attach the bar? There are alot of guides on www.Cobalt Flux.com |

DT200's and DT500's default with a 1.5" bar, or you can ask for one added onto a DT600 custom at a much more friendly price. (you'll have to attach it yourself or pay a poopy extra on shipping, but it only takes about 5 minutes to set up and a few hours for the cement lodging to dry.)
Otherwise, the Blueshark's the closest you'll come to a decent commercial home pad bar.
I recommend making your own bar though. _________________

Ive been looking at metal pads for a while now, I mean lets face it, The normal one that comes in with the set just isnt the same, as the machine one I have at the mall, And Ive put like, 50 bucks into that machine,
((DDRs taken all my money I tells ya!!))
Were would I go to find this blue shark pad, and How much do you guys think it would cost me?
To tell the true the bars arnt that big of a deal to me, but Ill get them I guess...
Im just trying to figure out if I want to get a metal pad or not.
The other question that comes up, is if the bars fold in anyway, or...I mean could it fit under my bed or something like that? _________________

To fit it under your bed you'd have to turn the pad over and unbolt the par from the pad everytime u wanted to store it and bolt it back in everytime you wanted to use it..
As for where you can find the blueshark

Yeah, putting the bar no back on forth would take way too much time and effort everytime you play. Need I remind you that Blueshark's are 85 pounds and you probably couldn't pull and push it in and out from under your bed with ease. |

The Nexen is sold on the same site as the Blueshark. It's actually on sale now for $209.99 now which is a really low price for a decent metal pad. From what I've heard, it's supposed to be a pretty good, but I've never played on one so I'm really not much help.
-Nexen
-Blueshark with Bar
-Blueshark without Bar
EDIT: You really didn't need to make a seperate post for that, you could have just edited it in to your original. Anyway you don't have to use a credit card for eBay. You can send money orders, have them subtract it from your bank account (It's safer than it sounds. ), or use PayPal. I use PayPal all of the time; it's awesome. |

DarkCore: f^%$ yeah PayPal! If sites aren't PayPal enabled, I don't come near 'em! PayPal = easy, works with most bank accounts, secure, and supported by most major sites.
As for fold-in bars, I do actually have a DT500 Custom Design with a bar that is stored inside the pad, but you're not interested if you think $250 is expensive, unless you're fine goin' cheap. (metal-metal sensors, plywood base, etc) _________________

Keep us updated, I think you're the first one here to get a Blade, and a lot of us want to know if it really is just a tx-4000 with cool colours, or a decent pad. _________________
