Now, which seems more likely...he sold the shoes because he thinks he's a better person than everybody else, or because he got new ones and he thought that selling the old ones would be a funny (and profitable) way to get rid of them?

I don't know LilQ, but c'mon...you would have to be an idiot to think that you're somehow a better person than most others because you're better at a dancing game. And you would have to be even dumber to think that if you put your shoes on eBay, you would be giving the "common" people a chance to buy something important, and people would jump over each other to throw money at you.

I really don't think that's what's going on here...what's going on here is that LilQ has a sense of humor.

It's ebay, folks- welcome to the interwebs. People sell weird stuff all the time. It doesn't make them bad people. Unless someone is exploiting others by selling somthing inauthentic (like french toast with Jesus' face on it or somthing) it really doesn't hurt anybody, and people get a good laugh out of it. No one is forcing people to bid on his shoes- they want to.
