Is she some kind of character from an anime, or some sort of figure for the company, or was she made just for the background? (Same question about the Xepher background with all those characters.) Also, from the "Polovtsian Dances and Chorus" background, it looks like there's actual gameplay of an RPG video game. Was that a real game they were showing in the background? (It even had those certain PS2 graphics you get with RPG's.)

I think the Sakura girl is Alice.

Your second question has been asked here before. Just once or twice.

But is "Alice" a mascott for the company or something? It doesn't make sense to me that they'd just throw in some random character for a background, and take time and effort to show her face in different forms throughout the song... She kind of looks like a geisha in the cherry blossoms.

Dude, she's the best dancer ever from the earlier DDR mixes.

She's a background dancing character, that's it. There's nothing special about it.

Also, nobody knows what game that is in in the background of Polovtsian Dances and Chorus. No one.

Alice is one of the old background dancers, first introduced in 5th Mix. They originally stopped using background dancers since DDRMax, but by popular demand they've been brought back. She is the girl in the Sakura video, or at the very least more than likely because of how amazingly similar they look.

videoCWK: The background video is from the game OZ, a 3rd-person action game that's only been released in Japan.

That was sarcasm, I knew it was OZ.

The songs Xepher and DoLL are from the Beatmania IIDX series, and the background videos for both are what you see while you play them in IIDX. One thing to keep in mind is that the beginning of Xepher is completely cut to be played in Supernova.

Ah yes, I noticed those girls in the BG video of DOLL looked like the IIDX girls. Is there like a story to it or something? I saw mechs battling and that seemed pretty out of place for a background in a rhythm game.

There's no real story, GOLI just felt like drawing some mechs because of how the song went. E10.gif
