My freaking laptop wont register hands and its really pissing me off. Any suggestions on how to fix it?

I don't know if you can change the amount of keys it will allow for input at once, but I'm pretty sure that's the issue.

If you're using Stepmania, go into Test Input and try to press any set of keys simultaneously. If it works, use that layout.

The general problem is that, because of the way they're wired internally, some keyboards simply can't recognize certain combinations of keys. Prime offenders are combinations which involve multiple keys in the same row or column.
