Anyone have some linkage to where I can find Easy/Medium .sm's for ITG2? I'd rather be lazy and download them as opposed to making edits. There's a few marathons I'd like to play but can't since the difficulties aren't there.

Download the ITG1->ITG2 updater (for the home computer version) and extract 'em from the PKG files in there. You get most of the background movies too.

Alternatively, if you don't want to download all 700 MB of that for a few hundred KB of stepcharts:

Note that this is STEPCHARTS ONLY.

Another link is www.senture-mir.com/ITG which includes ITG Themes, Marathons, Noteskins, & .rar files that have Easy/Medium difficulties. If you choose to download the file named "In The Groove 2 SPICED.rar" not only do u get all the songs with all difficulties included, u get really cool bg videos.

Sweet, thanks a lot for the links. I actually have ITG PC (R2) but I don't care for the audio quality. plus I have Groove 2.2 for SM 3.95 and I have it all configured to exactly how I want it. Thanks again.

Or you could just extract them from the ITG2 updater, which is about half the size.

(1.3 GB, compressed?!)

I think thats what the first link was, and it didn't seem to work at all with SM. Ah well. I spent the day downloading the second one so its all good.

If you're using the SMs I posted, you will have to fix the paths to the song files and probably tweak the sync if you aren't using the OGGs from the PC version.

Also, the "SPICED" version is a huge download because it has the entire background video for each song rendered down to an AVI - that's like 20 MB for each song. The real version shares around 400 MB of videos across all the ITG2 songs.

I changed the paths for the ones you posted, but yea I needed to sync them. I downloaded the Spiced version today. I'll probably take the time to fiddle with the 'sm's later. I really appreciate the links though.

I spent a lot of time fixing the synching and now I'm unable to focus from staring at the computer for a long time. frown.gif

I noticed the person who uploaded those .sm files copied them from ITGFreak, which has a bunch of inaccurate BPMs. frown.gif

Nope - I grabbed them from the set I extracted from the ITG2PC updater. If the synchronization seems wrong, it's because you're using the wrong sound files.

How could two sound files for the exact same song be 4 BPM different?

Bad 48000 -> 44100 conversion, perhaps.

It's a possibility, since they all work perfectly for me (I run SM 3.5)

edit: they work for 4.0 as well *shrug*

I haven't tested them on 4.0 yet, so I wouldn't know.
