11-footer #2: Utopia - 61.14% (I know I suck. You don't need to tell me.)

Funny how I failed at the death run four times in a row before getting through it with about half my life left.

Thank you; I find Xuxa slightly harder than this also.
I wish In The Groove 2 for PS2 would come out so I could attempt some more 11's. The only 11's left in my game are:

-The Beginning Expert (I can't do 16th note crossover streams)
-Utopia (The death run kills me because it's so sudden)
-Pandemonium Hard (It's...just Pandemonium E15.gif )

I'm closest to passing them all in this order. I wonder when I'll be able to pass 12's. drool.gif Seeing as people at my local arcade are amazed by me when I do 9's and 10's, they'd be AMAZED at me if I could pass VerTex (1.5x; the speed part at the end would blow them away), Delirium (OMG HANDS + FAST ARROWS), or any other 12 for that matter. I think VerTex will be my first if I ever memorize the ending on Expert, and if I get good at reading Hallway. I hate hallway though; anything else recommended for reading high BPM's?

Y'know, I came close to beating VerTex (no mods) today. Of course, the 600 BPM part killed me. So I don't quite know what to say other than memorize?
Utopia is actually sorta fun now. Except for the death run. All I can say about the death run is keep on attempting it...eventually you'll get the hang of it and get through it. E4.gif

On 1x Vertex is like super easy to read...

Edit: Sorry, forgot who was posting. But uhh, you'll get it down eventually. I have trouble reading stuff on 1x so the ending part is really easy for me haha.

Damn I hate calling people by their usernames....Like mariogirl said, the stepchart is fun until they do half the song on one damn arrow. I never FC that part. E13.gif I guess I'll do Utopia tomorrow for my fifth 11. I'd do Robotix as I'm positive that I can pass it, but I'm not going to the arcade tomorrow. I'm pretty happy with my Infection pass. It looked so hard when I saw Adam Styles and LilQ (I think) do it at a tournament on YouTube.

And about VerTex don't use Overhead. Try it on Hallway or Distant. It really helps.

Oh god. Distant or hallway? I absolutely suck at everything except for Overhead. Possibly because I played DDR for three and a half years before starting ITG two weeks ago.

1x Overhead works for me just fine...so you could use that.

That was what I used before the last part killed me...I could just memorize that part, I guess. In any case, I'm closer to beating VerTex than any other 11 I've attempted. erm.gif

Haha, those are exactly the mods that I use on VerTex on Hard. I beat it today "officially" without the disqualifying mods. E15.gif

Hey guys, I'm back. During all the time I've been banned I've gotten new stuff done. So here ya go:

It was hard, and it shows my inability to score above average (or even hit average, often)

This be my first and only 12. I wanted to try Energizer sometime, but the Funplex got rid of their machine, so no Energizer for me.

Second double 9 evar

This shows once again my inability to score

And that's everything of any intrest that has happened while I was banned. I ordered a CF about two weeks ago, and that'll help me pass harder songs. Not score though. I never score E13.gif

Woohoo! 11-footer #3: Xuxa! (awful score, but hey, it's the duck.)

Yep. The only part that tripped me up was the run about 1/3 the way into the song. Tried it three times, and now it's no problem. biggrin.gif
I think I should work on improving my scores on songs that I've already beat, and of course, beat some new ones. Anyone who's seen my recall knows I'm a horrible scorer.

Have you tried looking at the bottom of the screen during the fast part?

Cool...it takes some getting used to if you don't do it very often. It's not a good idea if you're trying to FA something, but it works well if you're just trying to FC something fast since it gives you a bit more time to react.

I played July Expert today and was sad that I only got 98.41. I think with a little bit of practice on it I can hit 99.50. And for you guys talking about Vertex, do it on Mini. I still can't pass it if I don't use Mini, and I can pretty easily get a 97-something with Mini turned on. So yeah, mini is good.

In this case, Vertexes would be correct.
