i bought some foam pads on ebay and the first set sucked so i got replacements and they suck too! maybe im just impatient...how long should it take for pads that have been folded up for 2 weeks to get broken in and actually work?

I'd say about three hours of regular gameplay should be good enough.

Pads that have been folded up generally will never be the same again, sadly.

Intex (I think) soft pads get really bad unless you fold them VERY carefully.
The Konami softpads tend to tear if they've been folded up, even if you use a hardwood mod.
Those are the only ones I have experience with, but if you want a reliable softpad, you'll have to go for Ignition or BNS.
If you don't care about soft/hard, but want to be able to play in socks, the Nexen looks like the best bet, or a homebrew.

well my problem is that when i play on them i get really pissed so then stop playing..its hard for me to play alot

Yeah, I've played on poopy pads before too.

Like I said above, Ignition or BNS.

hmm...maybe...should i turn off the corners when playing even on a soft pad? maybe thats my problem!

Yesh, controller off and modification is your friend ;D

I've been living off Ebay bought ignitions for a while now. Put a nice board in there and it'll last way longer than the cruddy foam.

hmm thats a good idea. what should the boards dimensions be? including height pl0x plus what kinda wood

edit: nvm, i could just put the foam on top of my wood and cut around it E10.gif
