Your current format will never end. Ever. People have tried to point this out inside the thread but it moves to fast so nothing is being read. If you take away 1 point and add 1 point, you will always have the same number of points, with just less songs. So that means that when it comes down to the last 2 songs, there will be over 500 points between the two of them. That's assuming it ever gets that far. You need to do something to reduce the number of points, such as add 1 point and take 2 away. That means that there can only be a certain number of posts because every time someone posts something will be closer to being eliminated. As it stands, songs will be eliminated at a rate so slow that you would literally get to over 1000 pages before the list was dwindled down, and most of it would be the same few people going back and forth to purposefully eliminate songs.

If you ever want it to end I say you change something about it now. There are other options of doing this you can pick any, but I think for something that is becoming a large thread so rapidly the people who are contributing should discuss in here and come to a thoughtful consensus on what should be done to make sure it doesn't last forever.

Just my thoughts on the matter, you kids do whatever you want.

I don't see how that has anything to do with the subject. You are postwhoring, which deserves a warning point. If I get warned for doing something which isn't a rule, you definitely deserve to be warned for that. I am not intending to appear as someone I am not, any similarities are purely coincidental.

Back on subject, it's still never going to end.

You really don't need to, trust me he already knows. However, I am not breaking any rules am I? And still, you are posting off topic, another postwhoring warning point should be in action here. I'd like to remind people to please stay on topic, I'd really like to see the Elimination Game get fixed up. Does anyone have any other suggestions besides my take 2 points away and add one? Or do you really want to continue the way it's currently headed?

Next time me and Cody decide to fix up the game a little bit, nobody interrupts, causing him to get mad and go play starcraft?

Can't. Cody was banned for posting one smiley. Maybe if nobody wants to fix the thing then I'll go back and forth with you soon sometime I'm bored.

Oh darn, looks like you just wasted 5 hours of your life.

In any event, I had two suggestions:

1) Trim down every song's score by a few points - just enough so that the lowest-scoring songs at the time of the adjustment have 1 point - and go from there. We'll do this every 5 pages or so until it's no longer necessary

2) Set a threshold - say, 15 points - and have any song that reaches that score be frozen. You wouldn't be able to add or subtract points to that song for the rest of the round. Once all the songs on the list are either eliminated or frozen, we just reset all the remaining songs back to 5 points and continue on.

I dont see any rules on the thread about not posting more than once. Many people have done it. I didnt post twice in a row.

I agree with the second one, but I'm not sure the first is entirely necessary.

You didn't seem to give anyone other than Cody a chance to react to your votes, either. No, there isn't a hard-and-fast rule against making multiple posts in a short period of time, but that doesn't not make you look like a prick when you do it. It'd be one thing if it looked like you were genuinely trying to participate - it was obvious that you and Cody were just trying to disrupt the game.

In any event, let's vote:

1) Prune the scores every 5 pages

2) Freeze at 15

3) Two subtractions for each addition

I vote for 1, personally.

I'm most for 2. If not 2, then 3 is best.

I think option one would be the easiest to implement in the middle of it all. Changing what to do halfway through will confuse people too much. I don't really like the idea of freezing it at a certain number because then people are forced to put their votes to another song they didn't want to put them on.

I would have posted the thread whether I changed my name to Cutríss or not. All I'm doing with this thread is make a point about how the other thread is getting out of hand, and something should be done to fix it. Since posting inside that thread trying to make a point is worthless I made a new one. Is that wrong? I don't think so, if you'd like to try to discuss it inside that thread be my guest, see how far you get. If the mods feel this thread is unnecessary and belongs inside the Elimination Game thread then ok, it will be locked. But it will not be locked because of my username. If you have a problem with my name then PM me. I am not breaking any rules and it's quite clear I'm not Cutriss the administrator, I'm Cutríss the concerned DDRFreak poster.

I'm voting only for two. Number one means one person will have to change all the numbers, and somebody's definitely going to get lazy and do the numbers wrong. I don't think number three is necessary quite yet.

So, I think we should set the threshold at 20, and reduce to 5 when all songs are frozen.
Also, no double-posting whatsoever.
