day2: the pad is now a lot better. i'm not sure exactly why. i guess there's a break in period? i passed Xuxa Expert 11 with a poopy score. so i'm guessing i'll be able to pass 12-13s with this pad also. i managed to full combo some hard runs on 9-10s. movement of the pad exists, but it isn't that bad unless you're playing a jump heavy song. the pad handles runs very well.

this pad might be the best "bang for you buck." i'm assuming this pad doesn't break on me in the next couple months.

i can't play on this pad like the arcade. i have to play s4r style. basically you shuffle your feet. actually you slide your feet. makes for poopy FA / PA. more updates later. but this pad is worthy of consideration if you're a poor mthafuacker

i'll wrapt this up into a huge long review post later.

Hello!

It's been 11 months now and my TX-6000 is still going strong, even with regular play on 11 footers.

http://youtube.com/watch?v=gGLNPy4lugM

Here is a video of me playing Sunshine on ITG PC, taken a few days ago. As you can see, everything still works well. The bar shakes, but it doesn't really bother me. The only reason why the bar can break on this pad is because people tighten the screws too much, in an attempt to prevent this shakiness.

Nice job, has your TX-6000 been played on with shoes? I can't really tell what you're wearing in the video.

It looks (and sounds) like socks to me, but since the panels are wood with metal on top, shoes shouldn't be a problem.

I was actually thinking about getting one of these... So how are they? are sensitive, what are the steps like? firm? mushy? I weight about 180 and prefer to play with shoes on. would this kill the pad? I really don't use the bar.. So I wouldn't need it.

Playing in shoes works fine. I choose not to though, because of the noise. E1.gif

I have never played shoes on, but I think that the pad could handle it. The only possible problem can be the bad wiring. My TX4000 had to be rewired after 6 months of heavy use. Now it works like a dream. E1.gif

Ive had my 6000 for around 8 months and its been great to me. Sadly the up arrow is losing its responsiveness. It still works but only 75 percent of the time. Does anyone know how to fix this? Thanks in advance

Take that arrow off and clean the sensor, or check to see if foil contact plate is still there.

Better yet, buy 4 copper plates and use contact cement to stick 'em on the bottom of each panel, because the aluminum tape is crap and will be totally torn up on each panel after about 2 months of heavy use. (it still works torn up about 60% of the time)

yeah lol, mine is torn up on every arrow but only the up arrow is affected. So when i get copper plates, do i just tape them over the aluminum tape? And how much would this cost?

Edit:Would buying new arrows work?

Edit#2:This is turning out to be a terrible week for my pad. Im going to try to explain this the best that i can. I can no longer screw in the top right portion of my pad. The screw(s) just slip right in so the inside is stripped or something like that. I might have to weld it or something but i don't want to because i will probably need to open it up again sometime soon. I know im being a bit of a pain in the butt and im whining alot but can anyone offer any suggestions.

Just cut the bottom wide open. Just be careful when cutting so that you won't damage the wiring. If you do it carefully, the pad will not suffer much at all. After you have fixed the pad, just tape the removed part from the bottom back. I can post some pictures of my pad and how I opened it for the rewiring process.

Shuruka: Remove the aluminum tape. Save it too; it's good with reattaching wires, it's just not good enough of a conductor to work for a DDR pad.

Hi everyone,

I saw this thread and allthough my Dance Pad is a different TX from the ones mentioned i would put it in here anyway to save oepning up anouther thread.

With the TX6500-v3 Special FMAX, you get a box with it so you can conect to different consoles / pc etc. Douse it have a slot for conecting anouther pad so i can have two working together ?

And if so, douse that meen i can conect my Logic 3 Dance Mat to it so i can do doubles with my friends ?

Thanks for any help and appreciate

Roman ^.^

must be a newer version which is cool no worries here but, all of em have the ports of the PS2, PC and x box and the xbox and pc are interchangable, but the slot for connecting is prb for connecting two of the same metal pad together im not sure with out pics, if you could post some that would be sweet!!

If i can only use the same mat as the one im buying then i will save to get anouther so they match and can then do double pad (running around) playing.

Thanks so much
