one of the screw parts fell into the pad and im a bit confused and a bit overly cautious about how to remove the metal sidings without damaging the pad too much. i'd like to be able to repair it and mod it so that it will perform better. I too have also had the bent sensor problem which returns after playing for a few songs. |

Yeah, we know you were joking but still...just because people can't afford $300.00 - $400.00 pads doesn't mean they're n00bs. They could be pro. |

I just wanted to inform that I finally encountered problems whit my TX4000. It has served me well for 10 months and now the right arrow started to ghost step when I stand in over the center panel.
By ripping the bottom open I realized that the problem was caused by bad wiring. The wires were worn out and when they made contact, it triggered the arrow. By rewirin the whole pad I was able to fix the pad. _________________

I've been playing with shoes for about two months... 7-9 steppers, 170lbs, no bar. A LOT of people have played on my system without issues...
as for the cobalt flux... their peice of crap service is the reason I canceled my order. One month time is rediculous, not to mention unanswered phones, unanswered emails, and filled up answering machine. my pair of tx4000 rocks!!! |

Actually, Cobalt Flux has pretty good service now.
I got my pad in 11 days, and they responded to all of my questions in 3 days or less. I ordered my pad with the arcade mod and they didn't send the four corner decals and lexens, so I emailed them about it, and they shipped them out no questions asked. I guess they're trying to serve their customers better by actually communicating with them? |

From the sounds of it, these new TX series pads are pretty good. So anyway, I was looking around on Lik-sang and it turns out they've been sued or somthing, by Sony. So does anyone know any other sites that would have these pads in stock?
Thanks. |

I actually recommend ebay. I got my old one from ebay. You can get it alot cheaper. It's not like they give you a fake model or something... _________________

Since Lik-Sang seems to be stopping their business for a while, apart from them, could you tell me where I can get Metal Dance Platform Platinum TX4000? |

Yeah but alot of people here are paranoid of having their platform coming dead on arrival, and not being able to get a refund or anything. Chances are if the seller has really good feedback they aren't going to want to get a bad reputation and send you a fake or a broken one. |

I couldn't find any TX's on those sites :/ I either didn't look hard enough or they don't stock them.
I'd rather not have to resort to eBay, so if anyone else can provide some sites? |

First off DarkCore is a f4gg0t 15 year old who should get the f8ck of the forums.
Now a review of the TX-4000.
Some background: I'm a no bar arcade only player. SDG most songs on DDR. Can pass all the maxes on 1.5x. But I mainly play ITG2. This is my first time playing at home. I bought the pad off ebay for about 140. I think it's called the GXP or GPX 4000 there. I'm 6 feet, 210lb, powerlifter - e.g. large muscular build. I play mainly flat footed.
Day One: The pad seems to respond OK. It's definately not arcade perfect. Some concerns: 1) The pad moves around on jump heavy songs. It moved quite a bit on Mythology heavy. 2) You can't feel the arrows. This is a huge problem for me because I like to minimize feet movement. I play very close to the edges of the arrows and like to feel the screws / 4 corners of each pad. I can't do this on this pad. I feels mushy - it's not recessed. 3) There is no spring / rebound. This might apply to all pads. But it's annoying as hell. Notice ITG / DDR arcade has a spring under the pad. Clearly home pads don't. 4) Scores are not nearly as good as the arcade. like arcade -10-20%.
If you want arcade perfect - you should buy a frick arcade machine. |

Update on the review: I have the control box that works with PS2, XBOX, PC USB. so far i've only tried PC USB on ITG2 PC. calibration and connection / detection was easy. no problems. i passed energizer hard -10. horrible score. bullshit many of the runs because it felt nothing like the arcade. 10 and higher songs usually require playing on the edges of the arrows. this is very difficult to do with this pad. mainly cause you don't really know where the edge is. you can't feel it. the pad didn't really move much at all on that song. |

Or try a better pad. MMB's Blueshark feels alot like the arcades apparently. |
