True. It should not take this long to put an arcade game onto a disk and get all the bugs out of it. The game is essentially made for them, theyre just moving it onto a disk. _________________

I'd probably just try to obtain a whole arcade machine if I can't get my hands on a PS2 version of ITG 2. StepMania just doesn't cut it when it comes to playing ITG 2 songs, as the performance is slow for me, there are no background videos, the screen is too small (I'm forced to look at my computer's monitor), and my FA is garbage compared to when I play an arcade version. _________________

But still, the PC version with the upgrade could very well be ITG2 CS since it is officially a home version of ITG2 arcade. So my guess is that Roxor may be cancelling the PS2 version and making it available for the PC instead. In that case, I will be purchasing ITG PC to have ITG2 at home. Still not the dance pad effectiveness as good as the PS2, though. But at least getting it on PC is better than nothing. | I can say with confidence that Roxor will not cancel ITG2 PS2. They actually listen to their fanbase and would piss off a lot of fans. _________________

It wasnt said directly that it was Konami, but it was hinted and fairly obvious that it was. Ole showed up during the last day of the expo and he was the only one who gave me some itg news. ITG2 multiplayer(wireless cobalt flux's connected to a modified itg2 version and boxor) is starting to pick up in sales in the EU. |
Well, this sucks.

Listening to their fanbase has nothing to do with this. If Roxor ends up cancelling the game, it'll be for legal reasons. _________________

IT'S ALL STEPMANIA.
ITG for the PS2...is STEPMANIA PORTED TO THE PS2.
ITG for the arcade? It's STEPMANIA ON LINUX.
As for your FA, the timing windows can be adjusted. Y'know why? BECAUSE IT'S STEPMANIA. Ski wrote: | I can say with confidence that Roxor will not cancel ITG2 PS2. That's not the point. Yes, basically, ITG = StepMania, but for me, regarding the framerate and overall performance, PC < PS2. _________________

Get the songs you want
Adjust the timing windows and put on an itg2 theme
Get a better computer if necessary
Put it all into a box
Put a TV on top of that box
Get a cobalt flux

I'll still get inaccurate percentages, and my Flux always slides all the way across the floor whenever I play one song on Expert. I also don't have access to a good bar (my parents would never allow me to use a chair; my mat would still slide away, anyway). _________________

In reality, that score is a 97.98%. I checked it on the percentage calculator, which gave me 97.99, but ITG actually gives me .01% lower. StepMania seems to treat Excellents as hurting your grade more than usual. This could all probably be fixed by replacing the metrics, but I'd still be left with a slippery mat without a bar behind it. _________________

ITG DEDICAB |
Dude, all that crap doesn't compare at all to an itg2 dedicab. Seriously, that setup would be so ghetto. I mean I think the dedicab pads are better than fluxes if kept in good condition, and the sound system on a dedicab is awsome! and of course, dedicabs look 1000xs cooler _________________

Well, I would agree with you up until your sound issue.
I 100% guarantee my home theater's surround sound has better sound than a dedicab. No friggin doubt in my mind.

so, Marquistadorous, you would rather spend $10,000 for an ITG2 dedicab, and then if upgrades come out, even more for those, rather than buy a flux, some wood, and a good cimputer for a hell of a lot less? poopy think of it this way, you could make the cabnet look ANY WAY YOU WANT IT TOO. paint it, buy decals, do whatever you want. So in conclusion, "ghetto" setup > dedicab.
edit: also, it would be a lot easier to add your own songs to the "machine" _________________

I would like to point out that I would know a lot more about the qualities of an ITG2 dedicated cabinet than all of you. _________________

That's true, I'm just saying that If I had the choice to get one or the other for free, I'd rather have a dedicab than a custom made one... _________________

Im so happy that ITG 3 us coming out, but not to happy about the console version. I have stepmania and I have all the songs already, so it wont be anything new to me, unless there are new modes. |
