If I was to AAA, say... Xepher Oni, with all Marvelouses on DDR Supernova CS, would that count as an acceptable arcade AAA equivalent?

Yeah, I think that it would definitely be an arcade AAA equivalent, ignoring things like differences in syncing and pad quality.

Side note: some people here will tell you that the home Marvelous window is the same as the arcade, but I don't buy it. It's not even the same across the PS2 games.

So um, is it bad that awhile ago I was watching Family Guy, and when Quagmire came on, I thought something to the effect of "Whoa, It's AA Bob!" (I don't remember if the exact thought was "It's AA Bob" or "It's AA Bob's avatar", but I don't think it matters in this case)?

Just don't post a picture of it on DDRefail or a bunch of people will whine and cry about it.

I'm sure it would. The problem is getting the AAAA in the first place. E13.gif

Yeah. Don't do it on recall either.

Home version timing windows are much larger than arcade versions' timing windows, and I think the idea is that home versions' larger Marvelous timing window would be around the same as arcade versions' Perfect window, so getting a AAAA at home would be like getting a AAA at the arcade.

Actually, the home Marvelous window is smaller than the arcade Perfect window. But you might as well compare Marvelous to Perfect and Perfect to Great when playing at home.

Yes, but getting all Marvelous on DDR is still pretty much the same thing.

AAAA'ing anything on foot, even at home, is quite the chore. There are hundreds of arcade AAA's (Thousands upon thousands really), and yet just a few dozen AAAA's on foot.

Yes, it has been done. Heck, I came close to SDP'ing a song once, and I totally fail when it comes to FA and PA and stuff.....usually. (Sexy Planet Oni I got 11 Perfects)

But yeah, a AAAA is an unofficial rating in DDR, but it is still recognized as a legit rating in the hardcore dance community just as a SDG would be.
