You know, I was just trying to illustrate that it was possible to do something like that without having to go through with buying a metal pad or even modding the mat. This wasn't supposed to turn into a debate over the grade.

And BotD, you're right because I couldn't believe that I had even come close to A'ing it. 50 misses sounds like a lot to most people.

its quite a bit different than ddr... the steps are srange and you really have to play wide legged and im pretty tall too i feel sorry for a short person playing it...

PIU is interesting. Cause I know that DDR & PIU battling out since they first come out from 2001 in wellington & palmerston north right at these arcade places from N.Z

i first played this game in mexico (i love playing at arcades while im on vacation) like a year ago, it was a really different experience to say the least. anyway i just recently got exceed and although i will always be loyal to the greatness of DDR, i really like the variations of movements that are required to pass the songs in piu. My favorite song is Will o the Wisp cuz its the first one i really did good on in mexico and it just rocks. my favorite channel is Banya by far cuz the rest of the music just isnt as good. on average i get an A or an S or fail out XP lol. My goal is to unlock canon d but im still like 65 km from getting it

oh and btw the new pad im building (check the my home built pad thread) is to accomodate piu and ddr/itg on one pad, so if youre interested email me.

I have a couple of PIU related questions:

1) The timing window on my PIU game/pad setup is perfect, but for some reason the arrows stray a little past the step zone, which is a little confusing, considering how new I am to the franchise. How far past it goes depends on the song, it seems. Does anyone else experience this?

2) Is there a brand of PIU mat with foam inserts, or some kind of third party platform that works with both 4-panel (DDR/ITG) and 5-panel (PIU)?

for the second question you can use a cobalt flux with the PC pump games (but not the consol ones due to the lack of ability to map buttons)

I got the PIU Exceed bundle for Xbox today, and I love it. It's got great stepcharts and is lots of fun, and I'm not doing bad. I play normal and hard mostly, but sometimes expert if it's not too hard, and so far I've only been getting A's (playing on both home and arcade mode with difficulty set to intermediate on both and speed always on 2x). I'm gonna have to start playing it in the arcade soon. I got it because I've been waiting too long to start PIUing, and I really missed stomping arrows at home, even if they're diagonal and one of them is a yellow square.
