I know how we can stop spambots. Or at least help with the killing of spambot threads. Just add a little button to the thread page that you can click to mark the thread as a spambot thread, and if a certain number (I dunno what that number would be, you admin people could think fo that) of butten presses are received, it will lock the thread. Now there's the possibility of people just pressing the button on a thread they don't like, so put some words near it somewhere that deliver the message that if people pres butan and it's not a spambot thread, they receev warning points. Comments plzkthxby.

Do you really think it's easy to just add in any kind of feature you feel like? IMO, I don't think the spambot problem is so bad that it requires tinkering with the site itself.

Eh, it was just a thought really. Since other boards have "Report this Post" buttons, I don't see why we couldn't have a "This is a spambot thread" button.

Lock by popular vote is a great idea.

The Pot: That's why I suggested that we offer warning points to people pressing the button when it's not a spambot thread. The mods could award points and then take off that button click point thing from the thread.

Laundry: Thank you.

Call me crazy, but I'm pretty sure that Laundry was being terribly sarcastic.

But then again, this is the internet. There's no 'tonal' context.

Y'know, now that you point that out he probably was. Oh well, yet another failure can be added to my imaginary list of failures now.
