Why not put a birthday feature on the site? I know all boards this style have them (I think) why not turn it on? You know, it shows all the peoples' birthdays of the current day at the bottom of the page. This could be optioonal, and you could add your birthday to your profile if you wanted to.

They don't. It's not in the default phpBB install.

Sorry, I shouldnt make assumptions since I know almost nothing about programming (luckily that will change next semester)
Is there any possibility of getting it, or would it be too much of a hassle?

We generally tend not to install addons that don't offer a real functionality. The Xbox Live icon/field I coded myself.
Maybe in the future, but we have larger issues that need to be tackled first.

We could probably safely put the link back to viewonline.php, but not the "real-time-page-update-who's-reading-my-threads" thing. Too many queries for this size of userbase and the host we're on.

Because we didn't want people to be using it as their "DDR Freak scoreboard". People already treat forums like they're a competition anyway, which is stupid.
