I dunno...I got my CF about a year ago. It works great. I have AAA'd things, played keyboard stepcharts on Stepmania (read: failed keyboard stepcharts), generally abused the poor thing, and it still works like a dream.
As for their customer service, there was a minor slip up with my order (I can't even remember what it was now), but they handled it efficiently and were very kind about it. I got my pad right on time (or rather would have, but UPS messed up the order and kept forgetting to drop it off at my dorm till the 4th or 5th try).
So yeah, they may be in a bit of a rut right now, but I've had a great experience with them and still love my Cobalt Flux to death. _________________

Hey. Does the CF with an Arcade-Style Mod feel like the arcade? This is a huge factor for me... _________________

Just in case anyone who read the last page saw this and thought it was true...

Yeah Cf has some serious communication issues and stuff is said that it will get done but it never does. In my experience they are unreliable at best. but just me venting a little bit just thought I would throw my 2 cents in there. |

I proved my genius last night...I unscrewed the center and left panel on my CF to clean it (I thought there was something wrong with the pad) and when I put the lexan panels back on, wtf? If I took off 2 why are there 3?
I am thinking it goes in the center panel, but I do not remember from taking it apart. I have the arcade mod, if that means anything. _________________

If you have the arcade mod, then two of the panels go on the center. _________________

I would like to ask CF owners if it is worth to buy the 30$ US extra for the 6 months extended warranty (1 year instead of 6 months), thanks _________________

Yes 2 lexan panels go under the center.
As for the extended warranty I dont think its worth it since it doenst cover the electronics and those are most likely to fail. so save the 30 bucks. |

Then what exactly does it cover?
If a sensor or a wire burns out or stops working, does the warranty cover that? For an extra $30.00 I'd just buy it just so you have it in case anything goes wrong. |

I see nothing of this arcade mod on their website, can someone tell me exactly what it is? People who have it, does it feel like the arcade version? I really need to know this.
I want to know whether an AB or CF with arcade mod feels more like the arcade DDR pad. If the CF doesn't feel like it, I will go for an AB. Please answer in detail!
One more question. I want to use a pad for xbox and PS2, which does the CF support |

Yes!
I ordered my Cobalt Flux with black and textured arcade mod yesterday. I payed $200.00, and my mom's paying for the rest. Anyone know roughly how long it usually takes for a Cobalt Flux to be built and shipped? By the way, is the final price that they give you in American dollars? Thanks. |

Doesn't seem like it has for larger amounts of money.
According to the currency converter that I used....
$382.94 (American) = $428.20 (Canadian)
That's a pretty big difference, lol.
(By the way that's the price that I paid for my Cobalt Flux dance platform with a black and textured arcade mod.) |

Well the warranty covers only the platform according to their website. but since the platform is just a big sheetmetal sandwich I dont think its going to fail very much. Most likely the things thats going to fail is the control box and that is not covered by the extended warranty.

That's the total of the Cobalt Flux platform, the arcade mod, AND the shipping. |
