i was watching xplay and saw this thing about para para paradise....the one girl who is sometimes on for morgan or adam talked about it....at first i thought it was really cool but then the mocking began. of course, the people at xplay just go off and say how terrible the music is and dont know what eurobeat is and overall i think it was more of a joke than anything.
Heres the youtube video if you want to see.

Yes. It was a poopy review for a SIX YEAR OLD GAME. Which makes no sense to me.
It's like they seriously just reviewed the game to make fun of it and nothing else.
Either way -it's G4. It's XPlay...they suck at fairly reviewing any game whose company isn't shoving large amounts of cash and crack cocaine in front of the producers of the show. _________________

They reviewed CANDYLAND. THE BOARD GAME. What kind of show does that!? Oh, wait.....Xplay does. I find them kind of rasict to Japan. One time, they were PREVIEWING Al something for the PS2 (can't remember, made my the people who did Disgaea) & the 1st thing Adam does is commit on how bad the opening song is & puts it on mute...To make things worse, nearly EVERYTHING he said was bad! & at the end he said "& it'll probly suck". |

1. Pah Rah Pah Rah.
2. Way to mention the movie series it was *based* off of.
3. When it was gamestop TV they actually *did* a decent review of it, oh you know, back in 2001.
EDIT:. They talked shit about Velfarre2000, they're gunna pay. _________________

when they were interviewing that guy, i thought it was sad they were actually making fun of him. He was talking about something he really enjoys, and i heard nothing nerdy about it. I do think para para paradise would be a good party game dammit!
And also, xplay has nothing on that guy. It's goddamn xplay! They made said utada hikaru had no talent. Me and many others beg to differ. Utada has far more talent than those poopy xplay reviewers ever will!
Morgan's just on there because many consider her hott and adams on there because hes an bumhole.
There you go. _________________

I totally agree. Us music game players don't go around laughing at people who enjoy football or curling, so I don't understand why they always laugh at us. _________________

Because Sony doesn't pay them or give them cool things to do it for rival company's. Money preferably. _________________

Who here bets Xplay will give Supernova a 2 out of 5 & will make fun of some of the music, if not the best ones & commet on how hard the 10-footers are? Any takers?
Who here also remembers the "On The Xplay Boards..." song, where people were mad at them? Man, that song expresses alot of feelings.
Also, did anyone send a e-mail explaining Beatmania was before Guitar Hero & send a page of, like, Wikipedia? |

Well, what did you expect out of X-Play anyway? An actual review? pfft... Every review I've seen out of this show has been immature, biased, unproffessional or just plain degrading to some various degrees. And once again X-Play's ignorance shows through because in all the para-para vids I've seen you do use your feet to actually keep the beat of the song. |

Well, if they tried doing research, they'd realize that Para Para dancing is based on the traditional Bon Odori style of dancing from Japan. Since it was a more traditional dance, it was performed in elaborate kimonos, meaning it was all done by complex and flowing arm movements since the ladies performing could not step more than a few inches in any direction.
When Eurobeat and the idea for club dancing started in the mid-to-late 1970s, the footwork hinderance was no longer kimonos, but instead for the platform go-go boots that the people were wearing in the clubs. So the Bon Odori style metamorphasized into Para Para (the onomatopoeia for falling leaves or for the sound of an arm cutting through the air). _________________

well, since they'll probably say "dance factory reinvented the dance game by letting us hear good music" im guessing a 2 isnt out of question.
and no, i never got no responce. so i sent them another picture of utada hikaru's ultra blue CD, and photoshopped REAL TALENT on it.

Since we are still on the topic of X-Play, what did X-Play give In The Groove? |
