I saved little bit of money for metal pad dance pad since last 3 months! I fall into a dilemma. I want to buy a really really good metal pad that will very very last long and has the exactly the same arcade feeling.
I heard that CF is a good dance pad and it last long, but can not feel the arcade feeling on this CF pad. I heard that BlueShark Metal pad use the 2 sensors that is used on Arcade DDR Machine.
I also hear that BlueShark metal pad has the closest to the Arcade feeling because of the arcde foot sensors and thick arrow panels.
CobaltFlux is $299.99 + $50 Shipping
BlueShark is $349.00 + $45 shipping.
Should I save $55 and get a CF or Spend a $55 more and get a BlueShark Metal pad. |

I saw that someone said, BlueShark Metald Pad (MBSGXG) is on sale for $249.99. Where can I find it ? I could not find that link.
I am talking about BlueShark Metal pad, not blueshark deluxe pad. |

usually, what you get is what you pay for. so it is worth to buy from manufacture directly than buy off auction. if you buy a product from ebay, you do get any good customer service. If I were you, I would rather buy a Nexen pad. my friend who went to this E3 told me that this nexen pad is very close to CobaltFlux pad.
you can buy a cobaltflux for $299.99 + $50 shipping or
you can buy a nexen pad for $199.99 + $45.00 or you can build your own pad like other people does.
CobalutFlux is http://www.cobaltflux.com/products_cobalt.htm
nexen pad is http://www.mymybox.com/nexen.html
if you have a $$$$$$$$, you might want to try out blueshark GXG metal pad. http://www.mymybox.com/ddrmbsgxg.html
This BlueShark GXG metal pad used to be 3inch thick, but not anymore.

does anyone has this new blueshark metal pad?
mymybox updated their new blueshark metal pad picture.
The Center piece is metal, not plastic. I love their new metal pad design.

This is the Real BlueShark Metal pad Latest Version of Picture.
It looks really really strong. Look at the thickness of metal pad.
Here is my one vote on the best metal pad ever.

Maybe the audio pickup is very sensitive, but it sounds like he is hitting those arrows pretty hard. _________________

I'll admit I'm not that good, but geezus!!! That bar needs to go to the police, cause it got totally raped!!
I'll be in the market for a metal pad soon (nearing the $300 saved up mark) and I'll be using it for random college shananagannery. Think it could hold it's own? And I'd be damned if I was that close to buying a CF too. I was stuck between the Afterburner and the CF, went with CF, now the MyMybox is in the frey...... _________________

I'd take my blueshark over a cobalt flux any day! You can check out my review of the Nexen and BlueShark here:
http://www.ddrfreak.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=120766
The problem with CFs is that the screws get stripped easily and fall out. I tried playing Euphoria expert and EVERY screw on the right panel fell out
The BlueShark really does feel like the arcade, and I've been playing my best ever on it. I just received it today and managed to pass Max 300 on my 2nd stage (first time ever) and Paranoia Survivor final stage (first time ever again). I also passed PSMO, tomorrow I'm going to test out keyboard edits and such. Basically, if you have enough money for the CF get the BlueShark
*EDIT* Also, this guy's pad sounds a lot different from mine. This is probably because I have the new 2006 2nd edition. For one, my center panel is metal instead of the same material as the 4 arrow panels. I'll make some videos later so you guys can see/hear what it's like. |

Can't wait to see those videos!
Also, the new bluesharks are on sale until 9/15 for $300 instead of $350, so they'll cost about the same as a CF. I bit and switched my order. They better be good
Fixed date

i just got my blueshark yesturday and let me tell you, this is by far the best medal pad ever! The panels are thick as hell! Also, it is so sensitive. Personally sometimes it is more sensitive than the arcade. Either thats true or the arcades around my town are that crappy . But i really reccomend this pad to anyone. Also, premiumgame is a really good seller on ebay and his stuff is brand new so there are no complaints at all about him. so have fun and upgrade to a blueshark! |
