I fail to see how this is Anti-DDR. The sync-drifting is obviously unintentional (because it's being addressed), and thus the game doesn't work as correctly as it should. Would it also be Anti-ITG if I said "Maybe the R15 patch won't break the game?" _________________

I'm used to seeing a lot of anti-DDR rhetoric out of you, and given that people have been widely complaining both about the fact that the problem exists and the fact that Roxor has had a turnaround time of a couple of weeks on a patch, versus a few months, I saw you to be parroting the "WTF is taking them so long?" sentiment.
I'm reasonably certain that there is a very specific reason why the patch is taking a while to be pushed out. I don't know anything in particular, it's just a guess on my part, but I think there's a good reason it's not being pushed out in a matter of weeks. _________________

Maybe it's wishful thinking, but I'd like to believe that they're combining the timing fixes and memory card support into one patch. They can then ship it out with the memory slots all at once. Preferably, this would happen at or just before the time of SN for PS2's release. _________________

Man, that would be sweet....Rainbow Rainbow needs to be more than a seven foot song...and a challenge chart could turn it into the tough 8/9 it deserves.
To bad this has a very slim chance of happening, but oh well, one can hope.

You just might have figured it all out. Rumor has it that the upgrade kits for older "US" machines and the patch for the dedicated cabinets will be shipped out mid-September. The timing would be perfect for a PS2 memory card update, what with DDR SN CS US dropping at the end of September. _________________

I talked to some people at the arcade I went to, and they said they think they are getting the memory slots with the patch, but i am sure they will be coming with the slots...but i cant wait for the patch regardless of the slots, cause every other song i would play would be on sync one minute then off sync 10 minutes later. I played AA and it went off sync in the middle of the song, and then i hit like a 100 great attack and it was dumb as hell. _________________

I've been hoping for this as well. It was nice to see that Love is Orange, a normal 7-foot expert song, has a 8-foot Challenge chart that is a nice alternative to the Expert steps. _________________

what would be the point, if it gets off sync neways..so you would basiacally be wasting money to play edits that are off sync. _________________

But I can adjust to improper synching, and I'd rather play a good chart on an offsync song then a shitty chart on an decently synched song. Although both would be ideal _________________

Uh well if the patch comes with the memory card slots then most of the machines are going to be updated and will be on sync and you will be able to use edits. _________________

No, if we're gonna get challenge charts, they'd better damn well be 9's and up. There's plenty of wimpy challenge charts already. |

True dat. Especially Sakura's challenge chart. It's heavy chart is wimpy enough |

I think people either forget or don't know, some of the challenge charts were meant to be harder than the heavy charts when combined with the scripted modifiers. Kakumei, Sakura, and DDR challenge charts were meant to be played with the OMES modifiers (x3 reverse dark for Kakumei, x3 reverse for DDR, and most likely x1.5 reverse for Sakura had it been the OMES for Extreme as originally planned) as well as full combo-ing them basically as a sightread since they were not available in regular play either at all, until the next mix, or until an unlock code was entered. |

Another thing people forget: Isn't it officially stated somewhere that the Challenge difficulty was never meant to be necessarily harder than Heavy? _________________
