They both work. UnITG puts it in to C:\Documents and Settings\*Insert Username*\In The Groove\*Insert Song Name*\1.out and 2.out |

To the people on the previous page...i've used the pck suite EXTENSIVELY and almost all errors you are coming across are most likely faults of your own. Stalling at the loading screen means you screwed up. If the pck suite crashes while packing...it means some file of yours is screwed up. The out of memory issue I've never run into...but as i've not previously run into that problem i'll assume your probably doing something the pck suite doesn't like. You can't pack AV files into the pck's... just so you know. |

Ok... i've tried uninstalling/reinstalling PCKSuite many times and I still get this error.
When i try to open either IDX Wrapper, Packer, or just PCKMagic an error comes up saying:
"C:\Program Files\PCKSuite\PCKMagic.exe
This application has failed to start because the application configuration is incorrect. Reinstalling the application may fix this problem."
Any ideas how I can fix this such that I can use these?
Edit: I wasn't able to install the C++ thing before for some unknown reason... was finally able to when i turned off anti-spyware thing. Worked fine after i did this |

Yes, or at the very least a swap disc so you can do the swap trick (not a good idea though). Probably the best way to run it is off the hard drive with HDLoader, so you can test it without burning a new DVD everytime. |

Yes but my PS2 has a lot of trouble reading an ITG DVD with 100s of songs. The load times are literally over 5 minutes long. IMHO you need a HDD to run a hacked ITG game with a lot of songs. _________________

you need to build the cache before, and pack it into ALL cache relevant PCK Files.
This process is tremendous, but important.
the last disk i built this way was ITG 1+2 (~140 songs),
and I got loading times nearly same as original ITG Ps2
Also please note, that the Hard Limit on Number of Songs is around 350-400 before the engine might act random and results in crashing ITG on Ps2 randomly.

Hey, if I was to unpack the ITG disc, could I add my own songs to the unpacked stuff on my computer and then burn it to a DVD and have the new songs work on my PS2? Also, sorry if this question is stupid, I haven't been keeping up with the thread.
EDIT: I tried unpacking some PCK files and I can't find the files I unpacked anywhere. Where are they? I looked in the readme and barley understood any of it. Can someone help? |

#1. You don't need to unpack anything to add songs, just repack the songs that you want (there is a tutorial first post on page 10)
#2. It outputs to C:\Documents and Settings\(your name on windows)\

what types of hard drives are useable, etc | If you have a network adapter, you can plug in a hard drive and put it in the expansion bay. There are tutorials for setting HDLoader up at http://ps2hd.com
For useable hard drives, any ol' IDE hard drive should work, though some don't fit (I've heard Western Digital drives fall into this category, though my Maxtor works fine and I know that Seagate works fine too). |

Thank you, that was what I wanted to hear
Edit: OK, I looked at your post on page 10 and realized that I REALLY can't do this. Oh well, thanks for helping anyway. |

It's hard for me, because I suck at everything that's hard to do, like this. |

It isn't hard. If you don't wanna use IML2ISO or Apache, UltraISO 8 supports convertnig IML to ISO. You need ot get the songs, get hte step files, make the pck's, build the IML, convert IML to SIO, mount ot disc, and you're done. |

You lost me at IML2ISO. This is why I can't do this, I don't know what any of that is. Except PCK's, I sorta know what they are. I just don't know what any of that other stuff means. |

Just the programs you need.
IML2ISO,Apache,and UltraISO 8 are all capable of converting the IML produced by Sony's C/DVDGEN ot an ISO, which you can then mount to a disc. |
