|
|
I was just wondering if anyone has had experiences with either of these metal pads and which would be suggested to purchase. The DDR club I'm apart of is looking to purchase pads, and while the Flux's are more expensive, are they worth it? They both look like really good products and I'd love to hear feedback. Thanks! |

The Cobalt Flux is definitely worth it. You can wear shoes with it. I'm sure you've seen the clip of the SUV's driving over the CF and it still working. The pads are basically indestructible. So even though they are very expensive, it's something you'll have to bite the bullet on.
Plus I haven't heard much positives about the Afterburner, at all. I know I was making the CF vs. Afterburner decision about a year ago, and there's only one way to go, CF.
Tell me more about this DDR club. |

Exactly what Durden said.
Look around more, there's tons of people explaining that CF's are amazing and well worth the money. Although if your not spending the money for 2, I guess you can get the Afterburners. There's someone selling them here if you would like to save the money. _________________

I own both, my Afterburner broke (down arrow doesn't work, and one of the other buttons doesn't work). And it doesn't feel arcade like at all.
A CF + Arcade Mod kit isn't perfect arcade feeling either, but its closer than anything else and CFs are wicked pads Don't waste your money on a RO product like I did _________________

Cobalt flux. I've heard bad things about the afterburner, and I wouldn't get it if I was you. CF's are more responcive and last longer. |

and of course, another downside to the afterburner: red octane customer service. |

A TX-2000 is the obvious choice. _________________

CF screws are actually purposely drilled at random intervals of 10 to 70 degrees so you know if your pad is drilled decently its a fake. _________________

If I had access to good materials and good equipment, I'd totally start just making my own Dance Pads and selling them for big profit, especially since I know more about engineering than all the major companies.
Seriously, you'd think that after 8 years of having dance games around, the platform builders would have found some way to make pads that maintained their durability and sensitivity for more than a couple years.
I have multiple designs made that will do that.
Including one that only weighs about 8 pounds and folds up so you can carry it around, although I'm still working out a few kinks with that one. |
CF doesn't purposely drill screws horribly, it just happens
And if you made a doubles stage with bars thats truly arcade style i'd pay over 2 grand for it. _________________

But they wouldn't be 2 grand, I'd sell them for price of components + price of labour + shipping + 25%.
I've also considered art piece/custom pads.
But first things first, I still need to get the patenting process down. _________________

Not many people own Bluesharks. Tons of people have mistakenly purchased the Afterburner however. _________________
