Afterburner vs. Cobalt Flux?

I was just wondering if anyone has had experiences with either of these metal pads and which would be suggested to purchase. The DDR club I'm apart of is looking to purchase pads, and while the Flux's are more expensive, are they worth it? They both look like really good products and I'd love to hear feedback. Thanks!

The Cobalt Flux is definitely worth it. You can wear shoes with it. I'm sure you've seen the clip of the SUV's driving over the CF and it still working. The pads are basically indestructible. So even though they are very expensive, it's something you'll have to bite the bullet on.
Plus I haven't heard much positives about the Afterburner, at all. I know I was making the CF vs. Afterburner decision about a year ago, and there's only one way to go, CF.

Tell me more about this DDR club.

Exactly what Durden said.

Look around more, there's tons of people explaining that CF's are amazing and well worth the money. Although if your not spending the money for 2, I guess you can get the Afterburners. There's someone selling them here if you would like to save the money.

I own both, my Afterburner broke (down arrow doesn't work, and one of the other buttons doesn't work). And it doesn't feel arcade like at all.

A CF + Arcade Mod kit isn't perfect arcade feeling either, but its closer than anything else and CFs are wicked pads

Don't waste your money on a RO product like I did

Cobalt flux. I've heard bad things about the afterburner, and I wouldn't get it if I was you. CF's are more responcive and last longer.

definitely go with cobalt fluxes. Next time i go to my local lan gaming center, ill take pictures of the afterburner and the cobalt flux. If its for a club where they're gonna be used a lot, your gonna wanna get cobalt fluxes.

am i the only person who enjoys their Afterburner? it's got a great feel for the price, and since i've sheet metal modded the arrows, i've never had any problems playing keyboard charts on it.

One thing you might want to look out for is the CF's screws and sometimes too-high sensitivity.
Other than that, they're perfect pads, get a doubles set and masturbate.

cobalt flux. the afterburner broke in less then a year for me and i never played in shoes. even before it broke the back arrow worked only 50% of the time.
