I've gained stamina and improved my mile time to under 5 minutes. I'd play it more if I had a "waist of money" that's getting old

Well It did ruin my reputation, but it also gained it with people that used to hate me. When some people find Out I play DDR they think I'm stupid, but that usualy changes when they see me play, they think I'm the best player ever. Especialy when I played at my school, everyone start paying alot of attention to me, so it some ways it ruined my reputattion, but it games more then looses.

Heh I know how that is. I was made fun of for playing DDR back in the late 90s and early 2000s. Then when DDR had that big boom of popularity, those same people that made fun of me are playing now because it became "popular". Now I'm like "Ha ha!" and they think I'm the best player now. None of those fakies would dare challenge me.

DDR has improved my stamina, agility, and given me something I am better than all of my friends at - and amaze them with. It has bcome addicting and sometimes I have to fight it off - the thinking of it constantly, wanting to mod this pad or buy X number of games - but I do get it under control... I play an healthy hour as opposed to a more parent worrying 2+ hours like in my early DDR days.

Why the hell would parents be worried about their child getting 2+ hours of excercise?

In general, yes, you would be right to say that. But there are specific cases. I'm about 5'8" and I only weigh about 126 lbs. So, me getting too much cardio could be sort of harmful, I guess.

If you truly do love something, it's not a waste of time and money. However, if you can't type, you are forsaken. Nobody loves you, and you will never again find a happy life, no matter how hard you try.

What's funny is that you're whining about how DDR ruined your life, but your sig proudly advertises your feats of mediocre DDR playing. I BS this story.

There is no way a game can ruin your life. Your choice(s) in life are what ruin your life. Take it from somebody who took a lot of punishment in everything from school to dating and still loves this game to death.

What did I do to fix it? Change my schedule so that I have less time to play it and more time to work on my personal character towards others and responsibilities.

Today, I am well respected by everyone I know and my skill at this game continues to get better. So, therefore, my suggestion is to examine your entire life from your parents point of view and see if you argument still makes sense to you.

That's the best it can do. The worst is that it can make the internet hate you. See: This place or this one.

What's wrong with Something Awful? I think that they're kinda funny. And there's a hell of a lot worse you can do than DDR in Something Awful's eyes.

And Maddox hates everyone, so anyone on a Maddox fan site is going to try to hate everyone so they can be more like him.

Something is Awful is a hilarious website full of homemade art galleries from struggling photoshop artists. Much of the pictures contain, furry yiffing pictures, clown pornography, and gangsta rap pictures of suberban white kids littered with lens flares to accent their bling. If you want the highest calibur motocross jokes then that is the place you should go. DDR won't ruin your life but Something Is Awful.com will!
