Okay my fat ps2 that had a fliptop died on me a while ago so I am thinking of getting a slim ps2 and installing a fliptop on that. I still have the discs that came with the old fliptop. Does that mean I should just get a slim fliptop at a site like ps2fliptop.com without the discs? I have also heard that it is a pain to install the slim fliptops so am I better off just getting another fat ps2? |

If you still have the fliptop cover, use it on your new Fat PS2 console. Well tell the worker what type PS2 you want though. |

I read that magic switch is hard to install.
Just buy fliptop cover.
Make sure that the you buy the right one for your ps2 version.
Put DVD Swap disc in the PS2.
Then highlight loading or load.
Next lift up the fliptop cover and remove the DVD Swap Disc.
Put DDR EX JPN in the PS2 and close the fliptop cover.
Then press X on the PS2 controller(Loading should be still be highlighted).
Then it should boot.
The game will ask you do you want to save?
Left is No and Right is yes.
Do you want to Auto Save?
Left is No and Right is yes.
Press Circle to confirmed your answer.
I forgot if No is left and right is Yes.
Sorry.
K. I dont kno how magic switch works. only fliptop cover.
Every game DDR I use with Swap Discs works. |

Okay quick question.
I have the Swap Magic Discs 3.6 with a slide card. So according to the first post..am I really killing my Ps2?
It seems to work fine except sometimes the Playstation 2 logo comes up with a grey box around it and all pixelated. |

I can always repair the tray. The laser is my main concern. I'm not sure if the swap discs are damaging it. |

my ps2 tray got stuck when I used a slide card, but I just took it apart and cleaned it and it worked. =/ that's the only problem I have had with the slide card so far, and I have been using it for more than a year. _________________

That is good to know. The only import games I use my slide card on is
Dance Summit 2001: Bust A Move/Groove
DDR Extreme JPN
DDR Party Collection.
I play Dance Summit too much though heh.... It is like my favorite game ever. |

How import-friendly are the Benami games? I've heard music games are really import-friendly (like Ouendan, which I have). Also, where I can get controllers for Pop'N Music & GF/DM? |

Oops. I meant how much Japanese would I need to know to fully play a music game (Region-Friendly. Is that the term I was looking for?). Seeing how DDR EX (ARC) & Ouendan were easy to figure out, I though other music games were too.
Also, besides EX JP & IIDX Red, which other music games/mixs/styles should I get? |

My fliptop-modded v7 PS2 broke a week ago and I'm looking to replace it with a slim PS2. I know I'll have to order a new fliptop specifically for the slim models. Can I open up the whole fliptop assembly like the normal stock lid? I have a few two-disk R1 games and I'm wondering whether or not the slim fliptop can be fully opened when it comes time to change disks. |

ALLL RIGHTTT!!! I just ordered IIDX Red yesterday & just finished ordering the Fliptop about a hour ago! Will there be instructions as to how to install it?
Also, what other music games (like Pop'N Music)/DDR Mixes (asking for EX for B-day)/BM Styles (thinking of 10th Style) should I get? |

HOLY FLIPTOP! My Fliptop came today! However, there's no instructions. Anyone kind enough to explain how to put it on my Slim PS2?
Also, do I need to use the DVD Magic or CD Magic disk to play IIDX Red? |
