BG movies

i just downloaded a 700 mb pack of stepmania BG movies, there is nothing sorted its just a huge list of AVI files that rane from 50kbs-15mbs
most of these movies look like the orignal BG animations from the arcade, but they look like short clips that need to be pieced together to get the full BG video of some songs, (exception of a few songs which seem to have the entire BG movie, these are like the 13 mbs files)
but i was wondering how do i put these in stepmania?
i checked it out and im sure it shouldnt go into the RandomMovies folder
and the BGanimation folder seems a bit confusing, making my own folders and stuff,
basicalyl im lost how to implement these into their correct songs.
any help? thanks

u got these from ddr.bircd.org, correct? So when you download the 700mb pack with all the movies, yes, they DO go in the RandomMovies Folder. Then on the same webpage, scroll down to where it says"stepmania background scripts for all 240 DDR extreme arcade songs", and click on "download DDR extreme arcade background scripts". These are the files that tell stepmania what to do with all the movies. If there were none of these, SM will just cycle through the videos randomly. You must take all these NEW SM files and put each one in the appropriate song folder, replacing the SM/DWIs already there. It may take some time considering your stepmania group folders may not match the ones inside the zip. You have to pick out each song and put them in the group in your stepmania where they belong. Plus, in this file, there are 5 additional movies you must put in the random movies folder. Well, i hope this makes sense to you because this is just about as detailed as I can get.

Heh, i think i get it, basically, download the scripts put the vids in the random movies folder, and install the script, the script will tell stepmania what to do with all those files
correct?
dam, cause i didnt download the one off ddr.bircd.org, didnt know about that torrent, i downloaded a stepmania package off of emule, with the date 2004-8-13 on it =/ guess ill try redownloading the torrent if the scripts doesnt work with my current vid package
