I mean, it has easy steps, but all those tempo changes will fuck everyone the first timethey play it, and since there's so many of them, you wont be able to remember all of them until after you play through it a few times. And just like many other hard songs, you can't beat it until youve played through it enough times. Is this enough to make STOP! And Go a 10? _________________

Nope.
This has a lot more straightforward pauses then Chaos has and for a sightread on Stepmania I FC'ed it no problem.
The pauses are musical and aren't just random. |

It's certainly going to be one of the hardest 9's to score on, as with Frozen Fire being the hardest 11 - man, so far ITG 3's stepcharts suck for being so random and bizarre. It's still too easy overall to pass to be compared to even the likes of Tribal Style and My Favourite Game. I mean, it has the runs thrown in (though with easy patterns), but while all of those stops are enough to confuse anyone who hasn't memorized the song, they don't cause your life meter to drop to zero like long runs from many 10's do. STOP! & Go's stops to me are not hard enough that the song deserves to be a 10, but it is harder to score on than some 10's like Spin Chicken and Wanna Do.
BTW, speaking of Onyx's songs, I wonder if all of his compositions are going to have a ! right in the middle of the title. On my iPod, switching from Bang to STOP! & Go (I put STOP! & Go under ITG 2 because it appeared during the marathon selection screen), a ! was in the exact same place on the screen as it was on Bang. Oh, and ! as a debut makes perfect sense. _________________

Cruddy dull rock, emo, and rap that everyone listens to these days on an iPod is silly. I like listening to dance/techno because it's upbeat, catchy, and diverse, and being highly familiar with the game, I personally enjoy ITG music. _________________

Well, I have no idea what things will be rated and how they will stack. I listen to songs and predict the rating and I'm always wrong. Pink Fuzzy Bunnies seems like a hard 10 to me, but someone told me it was slated for a 12. The only possible way I can see that is flesh out 16th streams at that speed, but then it would be so ungodly fast that it would be more welcome to be a 13.
Whatever.... _________________

Pink Fuzzy Bunnies is fast, and Roxor doesnt like to make easy songs out of fast songs. _________________

What about Hip Hop Jam and No 1 Nation? Those are both around 200 bpm and are only 9 blocks. There aren't enough fast songs in ITG 2 for me to give you info about it, though. _________________

HHJ doesn't have a super-constant 1/16 rhythm at all, IIRC. I forget about N1N because the song is so bad I never want to listen to any part of it ever. _________________

When you all of said you've played the Simfiles.
You do know that none of them are official?
Unless you have demoed the FINAL version of ITG PC you don't know the Frozen Fire chart.
Stop! and Go. They just took that from the video.
Kyle said himself that the steps are likely to change. |

Well, Roxor has proven that they're not scared to rate happy sounding songs as 13 (See Summer, even though it may be a 12, but originally was a 13), though that being said, I severely doubt PFB will be a 13. They would have to flesh out most of the 16ths in it, and then it would be, well, stupid hard.
Seriously, 16th streams at 211 BPM is 844 APM (Arrows per minute) which translates to a staggering 14 arrows per second. THat is only a fraction of a second slower than Determinaotr, and MUCH of PFB has rhythms at this speed.
In other words, if PFB's Expert chart followed the song exactly, we would have a new hardest 13, or an easy 14. It would come out to around a 1200 combo.
So yeah, they're just not going to do that _________________

You recall correctly. Hip Hop Jam is a very easy Expert chart with the most complex parts in it being small 1/8th bursts and step/jump/step/jump patterns. _________________

I think he was talking about the song more than the chart, but i think the chart fits the song relatively tightly, so your comment applies. HHJ really doesn't have much complexity to the rhythm, making it an easy chart, even with a high BPM. _________________

Because everyone wants ITGs new boss song to be called Pink Fuzzy Bunnies. That would draw in the players like crazy. _________________
