The reason why most good players like the 2P side is...

This is so we don't have to constantly answer the question "Why do people play on the 2P side whe playing by them self" sort of question.

Most semi-good+ players know that little kids and noobs(no offense to anyone) play on the 1P side which over time causes the 1P side to be less sensitive.

Since most arcades do not keep up with the condition of the pads, the sencond player side is usually a better choice.

That is all, no big secret.

I think in a lot of situations Pboy is right. At the two main arcades I go to the two player side is the better side to play on. I don't know if thats because nubs play on that side or if it just a weird coincidence but it is true.

I play on 2p alot. Sometimes because people verse me and they are like "Lol i can't play on the 2p side" even though they are the exact same

. Yeah also the pads are in better condition (for the most part)

I play on the 2p side of DDR because the 1p side has a broken left arrow.

I play on the 1p side of ITG2 because the 2p side has a broken up arrow

I play on the 2P side where I go, as the 1P one SUCKS. But recently the 2P one hasn't been much better...I'm going to stop playing there until they fix it.

Back when my arcade still had DDR Extreme, I'd use the 2P side because *OMG SURPRISE* the 1P side was very non-responsive. Nowadays, even if the 1P side is good, I usually use the right. I guess I'm just used to reading the right side of the screen.

But when I play at home, using the 2P side disorients me... I dunno wtf is up with that.

Indeed, the 2P side is usually in better condition than the 1P side. It's no different from most other arcade games in that respect. When I play fighting games in the arcade, the 2P joysticks and buttons tend to be more reliable than 1P. This isn't always the case, like videoCWK said, though. Once I was playing on the 2P side of a DDR machine at a movie theater, and it seemed like the pad just completely stopped responding in the middle of my song. And recently, I found a Capcom Vs. SNK machine where neither side worked very well. *Sigh*

i play on 2p side because when i first played ddr, i would alwasys play with my friend who was better. hes no longer better, but i still prefer the 2p side. easier to get stuff of the ddr counter.

I'm use to play on 1P side unless one of the sensors on that side is messed up. At 2 arcades I play on 2P side because the left speaker is out.

This post is not ridiculous. It answers a question alot of people have and it states why and give reasons/evidence. Just cause your new doesn't mean you know how these boards work and does not give you the right to be a jerk.
