How I see it (which may have been said already): SN is the 9th Mix. In 2008, it'll be DDR's 10th anniversery. & If they did another DDR arcade mix, it would be the 10th mix. So if they waited & did another arcade mix in 2008, it'd be the 10th mix for 10 years of DDR. |

Yeah, I think this will be the last mix because NOVA is terrible but the graphics are extremely marvelous _________________

i may sound crazy and i mean really crazy but we should force the others to think these two games are equal.
Oh, and please keep on the topic.
One more thing, please try to stop Konami from acting like idiots. |

I highly doubt that DDR:SN will be the last mix. If you consider the mixes that have been developed for xbox, and the ones currently on the way, then i am expecting another one.
With the ever-growing popularity of ddr and rising competition with ITG, i believe that this game will not just blatently stop. The ddr industry, Konami, has too many fans and new players each day; as well as ITG.
To answer the original poster's question:
No, it wont'. Final answer. _________________

It's just like Final Fantasy. It has "Final" in it, but it's STILL around & plans to stay around. |

I think ddr has 1 MAYBE 2 mixes left for the arcade but they will be spread out in between like 20 home versions (which probably 18 will suck) and then itg will take over
as the wanning days of ddr are coming i am starting to pass some 10's and 11's on itg so its a good transition for me _________________

Ok, let me reiterate (right word?)
DDR:SN to be last DDR ARCADE MIX?
Oh, and the Final Fantasy is an easy explination:
You see, Square had tried many differant Fantasy RPG games which failed horribly. THey decided to do one more to see if they could do it right. Hence the name: FINAL (meaning they're last attempt) FANTASY (being that it is a fantasy game) _________________

Wikipedia wrote: | Square Co., Ltd. first entered the Japanese video game industry in the mid 1980s, developing a variety of simple RPGs for Nintendo's Famicom Disk System (FDS), a disk-based peripheral for the Family Computer (also known as the "Famicom," and known internationally as the Nintendo Entertainment System). By 1987, declining interest in the FDS had placed Square on the verge of bankruptcy. At approximately the same time, Square designer Hironobu Sakaguchi began work on an ambitious new fantasy role playing game for the cartridge-based Famicom, inspired in part by Enix's popular Dragon Quest (known to some in the United States as Dragon Warrior). (At the time, Enix and Square were separate companies; they did not merge until about 17 years later.) Sakaguchi had plans to retire after the completion of the project so he named it Final Fantasy because it was his final game, although it was also going to be Square's final game. In fact, it's commonly believed that the game was named Final Fantasy because of Square and not Sakaguchi, although Sakaguchi himself has confirmed it was named because of his plans for retirement. Either way, Final Fantasy turned out to be far from Square's or Sakaguchi's last game. Final Fantasy reversed Square's lagging fortunes, and became their flagship franchise. |

God...
ITG owns DDR.
DDR owns ITG.
ITG is hard. That's cool.
DDR SN has 300 songs. That's cool.
If Konami gets rid of that sync problem thingy, then you have basically all the songs there ever were at your arcade. I think that's cool. If DDR was harder it would beat ITG.
And ITG copied DDR. Copied. Same game. Arrows are arrows. _________________

Um, maybe some people like hands and always have? Even before hands really existed (Few actually use hands in PIU), I thought the idea of hands would make arrowsmash amazing, and well, I think it has.
And passing harder songs IS cool because some people LIKE progress _________________

I read this thread and realized a few things.
1. Saying ITG is better than DDR (or vice verse) is apparently truth and not personal opinion.
2. Because a company decided to make another game means they're greedy.
3. We must ALWAYS stay on topic at DDRFreak (PBoy227, you best stay away from Random Chat then!)
4. Like one game, hate on the other.
5. Companies HAVE to listen to the people.
6. It's ok for someone to call a company immature then next post saying 'ZOMGWTFBBQ!! STOP TALKING ABOUT MY FRICKIN SPELLING! YEAH, CENSOR SUX BUT I DUN CARE!!!"
Oh and if anyone believes anything between 1 - 7, please meet me by the edge of the world so I can push you off. Thank you.
Edit: Scratch number 7, this thread did give me a few laughs (and a craving for a smoothie).

People prefer ITG for more reasons than difficulty. The arrows are easier to read, backgrounds don't fade into the gameplay, the timing windows are better, the songs are a little longer, and mines/hands/rolls are also added.
PIU hands aren't supposed to be hands.

You realize that the hardest songs in ITG (excluding V2, too lazy to check) have scores over 98%, right? And that hands aren't a big part of most of them?
If you can't play the hard songs, don't complain about them. _________________
