o wait....
anyhow, it looks like DDR ripoffs are back in full-force. Anyone remember all those jungle book dance games? DDR is HOT with the average consumer now because of the whole "omg weight loss" factor. Everyones gonna rip it off. And assuming this movie(that ive never heard about btw) is a hit with the kids, parents will buy it. Eventually, the kids will get bored with it and if they enjoy it will probably get a DDR mix. So really, it might help konami make money in the long run.

Oh, you just reminded me of something. During the school year, we'd play DDR in our classroom often. Our teachers would watch and stuff. Well once one of them told me a story. He went to Dave and Busters with his friends and saw the PIU there. He said "Hey look, DDR! I know what this is, my students do it all the time, I can do this!". So he puts in coins and fails around, making a fool of himself.

I've seen the previews for the movie.
There's probably going to be mostly hip-hop in the game.
