I'm probably going to have only one more chance to play on an ITG machine in the next year, and I'd like to at least * a song on expert. Which songs do you think would be the easiest to do so? Right now I would guess Da Roots, Why Me, or Boogie Down.

Birdie's the easiest Expert song to *. It has absolutely nothing that will shock you into missing a few steps, so the fairly low amount of steps really has no effect on its scoring difficulty. Da Roots is underrated big time. Its tempo is unsteady, the slowdown can be a bit weird, the part when the drums come in can be pretty tricky, and while overall an easy song, it consists with quite a bit of chaos and galloping, while Birdie is just mainly straight 8ths with very few 16ths. The only reason people find Da Roots to be easier is because it has more steps, but as stated before, Birdie's lack of anything even remotely difficult prevents the low step count from making it hard to score on at all. Hey, even Don't Promise Me (Happiness Comes Mix) is much harder to score on than Birdie. Oh, and did I mention that more people have FA'd the song more than any other song in the game? Da Roots only has a few ****'s, BTW.

Boogie Down isn't hard to score on because it's mainly just 8th streams and some jumps, but it can become pretty tiring compared to the easiest of the bunch, so go for it only if stamina's one of your big strengths.

Other easy songs to score on include No Princess, Why Me, and Little Kitty Mine, all of which aren't horribly surprising either. Overall though, Birdie is the only Expert song I'd highly recommend to be an 8 instead of a 9, but if you want to feel more proud of yourself by *'ing a deserving 9 block, go for the aforementioned songs.

ROMeo & Juli8 is the easiest to * for me personally, but Da Roots, Birdie, No Princess, Why Me, and Little Kitty Mine are good ones.

Unfortunately on Boogie Down, the annoying instrument "thing" is not always on beat to the beat itself, and throws me. I find it harder to * than the others I mentioned.

But seriously, give ROMeo and Juli8 a try

I second ROMeo & Juli8, as it's one of my ***s (of which I have VERY few E15.gif).

ROM-eo & Juli8 is easy overall, but there is a tricky hand halfway through, in which you'll have to turn around if you do a crossover. I know it throws a bunch of people off.

I recommend Birdie.

Once you teach yourself to pivot properly, Disconnected Mobius is by FAR the easiest Expert (in my opinion) to get a star or better on.

What hand are you talking about? I think they're all really easy.

And I think No 1 Nation is actually a very easy song to *. I don't know about anyone else, but it's just really easy for me.

I'm not surprised. Fast with few 16ths = easy to score to me. Disconnected was my first 97.xx%.

If you can get through the beginning, Psalm Pilot expert is pretty easy to star/score on.

That song has very few steps, thus requiring very few Excellents to *. That beginning can thus make the song noticably harder to score on than Birdie or No Princess, not to mention the freeze arrows can be a bit tricky. It's not that hard overall, but it has enough of a challenge thrown in to prevent it from being among the easiest.

When the steps are

left.gif............
....down.gif........
............right.gif
........up.gif....
left.gif............

with the up and right arrows being holds. There are two parts with this pattern, and on the second time, your left foot starts on the left arrow. So if you crossover to the right arrow with your left foot, you have to turn around to hit the up hold and left hand, since the right and up arrows are holds.

Easiest expert song IMO is Psalm Pilot. I find it quite a bit easier than birdie, there seems to be less foot movement.
