GI seemed to think it was OK. (80%)
OPM gave it a mediocre score. (30%)
That's a HUGE difference in opinion. I will say the graphics HAVE improved from the earlier sceenshots, but I'm still holding reservations.
GI usually has hit or miss reviews, almost the opposite of what I enjoy.
So I'd wait for more. |

OPM is usually pretty accurate with their ratings. I was subscribed for two years and I agreed with them on almost everything.
I miss OPM. _________________

I posted about this game several months ago and someone pointed out the reversed up/down arrows - you're right; from the screens it looks like this may have been fixed - if so, and if it's cheap enough ($20 or so), I will probably give it a chance. |

It's been delayed quite a few times now. Codemasters might be a more strict publisher than Mad Catz was, but I still know the game will be horrible. |
OMG! Don't remind me how TERRIBLE MC Groovz Dance Craze was. That was the worst game I have everplayed as well. I mean... ARGHH! That game pissed me off soooo bad. I was desperate for ddr, but I only had a gamecube, so I spent 60$ on that pos, and then they wouldn't let me return it. But this DOES look a bit better. except, how come in the screen shots, there are no stationary arrows at the top of the screen? _________________

I'd buy it if there was an option to flip the up and down back to normal. I can't play like that. _________________

Stupid question : Can we use the DDR PAD or will it come with a dance pad that shows on that art box? |

The hardware will play with a DDR pad fine. Your mind will try to read up and down arrows and will be incompatible. _________________

According to my reading skillz of the full 2 pages of this thread, it was pushed back to August. So, likely no one has it yet. Sorry _________________

At a local BlockBuster, they let you rent Mario Party 6 and 7, and they have additional hardware: the microphone. |

They're trying to do the Monster Rancher thing right? Take out the disc, put in a cd, create a new monster? I'm right aren't I???
For Monster Rancher, grand idea.....for a dancing game, uhhh NO! I cringing as we speak, someone putting in ABBA or Yanni

I think if there was a success rate depending on the genre of the music, people might be a little (not by much though) less leery.
At most, just from what's been stated it can do, this is a rental.
Side note: I have seen DDR Max, Max 2, Extreme and Extreme 2 at local Block Busters, Movie Gallery and Hollywood Video (on the East Coast). |
