Wow,
I guess this could be a called a semi-introduction. I quit "playing"(as in more than one day a week) DDR a few years ago and took up stepmania. I recently was playing DDR not a couple of nights ago and saw I was a lot better than I was when I had quit. Instead of getting like and A on a standard song or maybe a C/B on a Heavy song (probably like an 8-footer), I was able to pass my first 10 footer (Paranoia Survivor) I got a C on it. Anyway so I found my way back to the forums and I've been looking for a nice metal pad to hook up to my PC and play stepmania. I'm thinking I'll go with one of the TX4000s. Not completely sure. _________________

What's up? I'm Ellery and I'm 24. I live in Little Rock, Arkansas. I started playing DDR in May of 2001 on light mode but I started playing Pump It Up in March 2001. I played PIU more than DDR because I lived close to the mall that had PIU. I started back playing DDR in Winter 2003. _________________

Hey all, I'm Ash. I stumbled upon this forum (and ddrfreak.com) by typing "dance dance revolution" into google... I'm 16 and I've been playing DDREX2 since about February. So... yeah.
Horsemaniac95, your school has DDR in gym? That is the coolest thing ever. My school is much lamer. Our gym has... pickleball. Right-O. _________________

so a bunch of people are introducing themselves but then never post anything else in the forum?? all right, i play that game.
my name is immediate (yah.) sometimes i go by JP.
i started playing ddr about 2 months ago and i can do most songs on standard and a couple on heavy. my first one was EX2 for ps2 then i got MAX 2 for ps2. i have the original foam pad and a stainless steel ninja dance pad. i got a wireless pad with a foam insert but i sold it in a garage sell for next to nothing because it was sucky sucky five dolla five dolla.
my favorite videos from the video section are:
John Avalishi- Healing vision
Luistyle-Healing vision
FuzzyHat- Healing vision
Lil b- Johnny B. Goode
Kay0ss- Tsugaru
as you can tell Healing Vision is my favorite song, though i have never played it because the machine in my town is crappy Megamix.
i also like to play:
speed over beethoven, look at us (daddy dj), tsugaru, any captain jack song and ya.
hey ash! at least your gym is most likely within a hundred feet of your other classes! i have to walk a quarter of a mile to get to the steps of my gym then i have to climb two stories in the hot sun just to get inside! id be too exhausted to play ddr if this university had it! sux to say that after walking to classes my feet already hurt by the time i get back. |

Dang, that's crazy. My high school is three buildings set over a quarter of a mile, and sometimes you have a class in the building on the left, and then a class allll the way in the building on the right. And they only give you seven minutes to get there! _________________

It took me a day in a half to realize there IS an introduction thread somewhere. Wow, I feel dumb. Maybe I'm just tired...
Anyways, I'm Endrance, and just recently got into DDR approximately 3 months ago. I recently got into ITG 3 weeks ago and can do only 8 3x speed (without the bar, I'm too dumb to know how to use it..>>; Ive never used it...HOW HOW D:?? )
On DDR i can do heavy songs (2x speed, I know speed doesnt matter but if its slow I cant follow it...) and get decent grades---save for the ones that I cant read. I suck alot compared to many, many, many more people.
History behind I'm 18, female, recent graduate, work full time in an arcade, live in Burnaby and uh...love Video games (all genres save for sports and racing), anime, writing, drawing, traveling, roleplaying and...stuff.

First off, I'm not a Nintendo fanboy despite what my name seems. It's just how people know me on the Internet now. -_-'
Okay, now that that's outta the way, hi. I've been playing DDR for less than a year, but I really enjoy playing whenever I get the chance. I can do 6 steps and get As and 7 steps and get Bs but really tire me out. I'm not that great of a player obviously. >_>
Only having a GameCube doesn't allow me to get a lot of DDR games and so far, I've only found one DDR arcade machine in my area, it's hardest song being PARANOiA on 6 steps. So I don't get to play often.
My main reason for signing up here is to learn how to run a console-based tournament. By middle August, I want to know as much as I can because I need to have a tournament by October-November. It's for a school project. I came to know about the site because I saw it on TV back in March when a show called Body And Health was doing a segment on DDR.
I saw a Quebec thread on the Canada board (where I live) so I'll check that out later. It's too early in the morning to read French.
I hope you'll all help me and I'll be sure to read lots of the info around. |

Heck yes. I just wish I lived near you, because I would be all over that tournament like white on rice. I wouldn't be very good, but hey, it's the thought that counts. Good luck with your tournament, and I'll help if I can! _________________

hey! My name is Drew. I've been playing ddr for about one and a half months. I started ddr-ing because resident evil 4 sort of lost it's luster after tearing through it about thirteen times....I can basically walk through any song up to and including 8 footers...but I can't touch 9 or 10's...I never played ddr in an arcade..I'm hopin to try soon because apparently arcade pads are better then this 8 dollar soft pad I'm stuck with..Well I think I rambled enough...out |

I'm not new, but just an update:
I play in Tacoma, WA on a Free Extreme.
I have a ton of SDG's, AA's (with 10-43 Greats on anything but PSMO) on 10 Footers, but only a few AAA's (6).
I'm just a random 14 year old who plays DDR/ITG. |
