What do people do while playing DDR that really angers you?

I hate it when kids jump up on the pads too. I bring my kids to the arcade with me, but the difference is that we actually *watch them* instead of letting them roam free. My 5 year old plays on light and she'll play with me easy songs or sort of shadow me on the harder ones. Basically me and my wife play and take turns watching the kids when the other is playing. When the younger kids want to play DDR, I take them over to the spider stomp game instead.

Funny thing is that you never really know about people these days and I imagine that there are some real creeps that hang out in places like arcades just for the fact that kids are there. I dunno about anyone else, but I keep an extra close watch on my kids when I go to these types of places. I get kind of concerned when I see a kid wandering about with no supervision.

The mom clearly saw that some kid was playing and stomping away, and watched her daughter go on the pad.
Then she said to her "You can play for a little bit."
That's like saying "WHY YES, PLEASE KICK MY DAUGHTER IN THE FACE."

I hate uber 1337 people who think they're ddr diarrhea (or ITG or PIU or anything else) and yet don't try to encourage others to improve or even try the darn game.

It's like, "Oh you suck, maybe you should play Galaga instead" when they sucked just as bad if not worse when they started.

Not an actual experience of mine though from reading the many many pages in this thread I almost believe some people who've posted in this thread are like that and I wouldn't be very receptive of them if that were the case.

I can do Heavy up to 8's, though a few 7's still elude me and all 9's are still above me. I prefer to stick to 4-7 footers, like R&P Light which is darned fun IMO, though I can do it in Std too, I just prefer light.

You know what I really hate? People that come up to the machine, that really are DDR Gods. No, I don't hate that group in general, I respect them. I just hate it when one comes up and treats everyone else like poopy because he's better then everyone else. People like that make me so angry. They also give advanced players a bad name. If one of them starts being an bumhole, and theres a beginner around, how is the beginner going to know that not all advanced players are like that? It gives them a bad name (I don't really count myself as advanced). I like to be friendly to people. As long as they are friendly to me, I'll be friendly back. It makes people like you at where ever you play at, especially if you encourage beginners.

I don't have a picture, but a few months ago someone tried to cut the cord to the pads. They got through the covering, but then an employee caught them. I don't think they found out who it was, so there was no lawsuit. That really pissed me off that someone was trying to destroy my life. So I went home and listened to Smooth Criminal by Michael Jackson. I found that it was suitable for what had happened.
