1. Go to this site.
2. Click Search (on the right side), and then click New User Form Search (Basic).
3. Type in "Guitar Revolution." Click Submit Query.
4. Notice that Konami owns the trademark.
Interesting. |

Guitar Freaks is Konami's guitar game. Companies do that to protect their buttocks incase someone else makes a guitar revolution. _________________

Maybe, but I looked on the site and just for fun, searched for Guitar Freaks. I found out that the trademark was filed in late January '99. Take that info and from what AJmix found and this could be a US version of Guitar Freaks. _________________

It could be... but Red octane and Harmonix did what konami did years ago and pateneted and copyrighted their guitar game in the states. I dont know if this is true but if it is something such as the ITG case could be in trouble _________________

Guitar Revolution will come out.
It will be reviewed as jumping on the Guitar Hero bandwagon.
The bemani community will be appauled at this statement.
It will have a pink and green interface with bad Britney Spears covers.
It will bomb.
Everyone will buy the reduced priced controller sets.
Everyone will buy the Japanese games to play with their cheap controllers.

I bet it will have GF music...
Just kidding. I wonder what Konomi thinks suits the contemporary audience for this game. Maybe they'll take out the hard difficulties because americans like easy games. |

DDR also didn't do very spectacular when it first released here.
I think Beatmania will definitely not see the same success, but has a slim chance of picking up if a second release comes out.
MadVash: Problem is, I don't think Konami will be using many Japanese songs, if at all in this version, Konami originals included. A good amount of good songs are in Japanese, the rest range from good to blah.

how bout konami releases it with the whole guitar freaks/drummania deal where you can play the same song using different instruments? Now THAT might actually be successful....
as far as the songlist, if it sucks, im gonna get really pissed off.
