so im cheap and lazy... who isnt. I figure i get a cheap peice of plywood for $6 at lowes. have them size it up for me. Nail my Konami soft pad to it and put lil things on the bottom of the wood so it wouldnt move around while playing.

My only problem with this vision is that i cant visualize where the sensors in the soft pad are. I cant see them being that big. So if anyone has ever opened a soft pad let me know what itl ooks like in there. If anyone has a broken softpad, open it up carefully and take some pictures for me.

I figure i could just use four nails. 1 inbetween buttons on the sides of "=>" arrow and 1 on each side, inbetween buttons, of "<=" arrow.

so any help would be great full. this new place has some killer carpet and im sliding around lol. spent toooo much money on the 4th to build my controller with wood n such as i planned.

Yeah. Nails would rip the pad anyway. The pad would rotate and move around on the plywood a lil', and the nails would stay in place. That would make it rip. So listen to the boy.

Go to Sam's Club and get that dense foam stuff packaged like puzzle pieces and put it between the pad and the wood.
There is enough for two pads, but you have to trim them to fit the board.

I did that for my PIU flat mat that came with the game. Works great and my feet don't hurt when I jump.
Ends up almost like the RedOctane Ignitions.
Here's a link to the pic on Sam's website. I'm sure you can find it other places. I paid around $25 for it.
