Not surprisingly, I rarely play The Beginning.

The easiest way (well, the way I learned to do it, at least) is to use play Utopia on Stepmania and put on assist tick until you feel that you know what that part is supposed to sound like. That makes it much easier to read because you know what beat to expect.

You could always do what I just do and totally wing it. I end up getting mostly excellents and fantastics from repeated play of it, because it's my favorite 11. Playing it a lot and getting a good feel for it will work just as good as any other method.

Foy made the chart. It follows something.

QFT.

Foyboy is following the pair of synths and the echo that creates an extra sound.

It doesn't really follow anything. This was discussed before, and it was said that the transitions from the synth waves are 16th notes. 12th/32nd notes just shouldn't be there.

For the 6,209,495th time...

I've charted every track of the music (including distortions) from start to finish.

There are NO 32nds in ANY part of the song.

The orange arrows don't go to ANYTHING.

Clear enough? Please look up one of the other 6,209,494 topics in which this is discussed.

I haven't checked this thread in forever.
Update I guess.
I've been getting consistent 80%s and higher.
That part still throws me off though.
I don't think it goes to the music very well.

You know, maybe the sounds don't exist at all and it is my schizophrenia that is triggering me to hear it, but I certainly hear stuff for the notes.

Even if it doesn't exist, maybe the rests in themselves are the orange notes. Some musicians realize rests are as important as notes....so I can tell something is happening and thus I do very well on it. I hear something. Yes, I know I have been told there is nothing there a million times, but it doesn't even matter if that's true. You can kind of tell when to step if you know the music.

IMHO, the right right right right right right part actually does go to something. Not to any sound in the song, but it just... feels like it fits in with something.

That's not entirely implausible. After all, if you quadrupled the time signature (not the BPM, mind you), The 32nds would merely become off-beat 8th-notes, which could act as gap-fillers.

If you've listened to the assist tick/seen someone good play it, you'll probably remember the sound and think it goes there.

i got 77 or 78 the first time i played it (no bar) on 3x. the song is one of the easiest 11s in the game to pass. the hardest part is that weird jump step poopy after the long run near the end.
