Billy Matsumoto (aka Billy the Kid) who has a routine where he juggles flaming clubs while playing Dance Dance Revolution, and was featured on the June 29 episode of Good Morning America, will be taking his act to the ABC talent show Master of Champions, to air on July 13. There have been several posts and videos here in the past highlighting his performances, and DDR Freak wishes him the best of luck. Article link here at the Plain Dealer web site.

YouTube link to Good Morning America appearance here (thanks to fallingwalls for the link).

Thanks to lelliebunny's mom for the original tip.

Is this the same guy that juggled while playing So Deep on Heavy?

It was one of the Freestyle videos that used to be on the site here.

lol, you are SO correct. Hands down, he would win.

I was getting pretty tensed up at the mere thought of him dropping one of those on himself or the DDR pad. It could have easily happened, especially on those jackhammers. I am still in awe that he kept himself up during those jackhammers.

Although that TV guy was stupid enough to interrupt him right before the song ended, I would have still given him props if he only got through half of it.

Does he only get paid for his TV appearance if he full comboes the song? That'd be fitting...

Qhrome = Bobby = Juggling to So Deep at Mt. Mike's Tournament
Billy The Kid = Billy (as stated at top of thread) = Juggling on Master of Champions and on Good Morning America

They are not the same guy. In fact, I just saw Bobby (Qhrome) last Wednesday and we were talking a little about the other guy.

It is commendable, but for me, it just isn't as exciting as when I first saw Bobby do it back in 2002, when it was thought to be inconceivable. Maybe it's just me knowing Bobby personally, that I have a slight bias towards his attempt.

I just wonder if there's still the video online of Qhrome juggling to Dead End...

And besides, Billy doesn't have a guy distracting him going "HE'S GOT A COMBO GOING!!!" laugh.gif laugh.gif laugh.gif

I want to give props to Billy the Kid. I can play DDR, but not juggle.

Why did that guy walk in front of him right before the song ended though? Billy could have dropped one of the clubs from his concentration being broken.

It's not like they knew what any of it meant... To them, it's just a guy, following arrows in a complex sequence juggling flaming pins.

Even though he did fail, you have to give the dude props. Learning to juggle is hard enough. DDRing while juggling is an art of it's own.
