I've been playing DDR for years now (haven't owned it until just recently though) but only just got good enough to mention myself (i still think i suck). At this point I use a regular Konami soft pad stapled to a sheet of plywood. It works well enough but it kills my feet more than they need to be killed (its not like they feel great playing soft pads without the plywood either). This is partly due to the fairly large arches in my feet added to the fact I weight 218 pounds. So I did a little research and from the looks of it if I want a more comfortable feel, I'll need a metal pad. I still have a low budget but am willing to pay what I need to. I'd like it to be very stable (no more sliding disturb.gif ) and playing with my shoes is a must (so I can get some arch support while playing). Something durable, reliable, and most of all, as cheap as possible. And so you know the level of "intensity" I play at, I play heavy pretty solidly. It'd be great if someone could recommend a pad for me, thanks in advance.

O.K. I've looked up some pads and this is a little list of one's I'm considering. I am really not liking the idea of spending $300 though. These are in order; cheapest to most expincive.

ever think about the TX-1501? The only pad on that list that can beat the TX-1501 is the nexen...all the rest on that list suck. Any mymybox pad with a 90 day warrenty is bound to suck...thats why you get a crappy warrenty. I would say get a TX-1501 off lik-sang.com(which after shipping will cost around $200) or wait for the nexen

Well, the Nexen is only about $225 with shipping (at least to where I live) and if its better should I just save up that extra $25 and get it instead of the TX-1501?

I recommend this pad very much. The BNS Fusion is very relible, they have good customer survice, looks nice, responsive, and inexpensive (138 dollars.)

This is mymybox's newest model and it sounds like it's much better than there old ones cause it uses lexan instead of crappy plexiglass and it has sheetmetal contacts. Try this one out. But if you want a cheap, decent pad get this:

Yeah, sorry. Looks great, sounds great but $300 plus shipping is just a little too high for me. I'm looking at the Ninja and the metal version of that pad and the Nexen. I'm leaning more toward the Nexen but has anyone played with it? Any more info than the 1/2 a paragraph worth of specs on Mymybox? Or any other recommendations? <_< I know this is off topic but I just passed era NastalMix (DDR MAX) on heavy! (C) That's really, really, really good for me! >_> Don't have anyone else to brag to right now.

the ninja=tx 1501. I would say go to lik-sang and order up the tx-1501. after shipping(its shipped for hong kong) it comes out at around $205. The nexen, however, we are not sure if it is gonna live up to what it promises. i, for one, am waiting for the reviews of the nexen to come before i decided on the TX 1501 or the nexen.
