Sorry it's off topic, but I went from struggling to pass 7s to A'ing Turkey March crazy on x2! Yeah, it's not much of an upgrade from a 7, but still! Seeing a 2-digit numer next to a song I pass (let alone A... which I guess is basically guaranteed if you pass...) is quite awesome... I'm happy now.
Yeeeeeeaah. I'm done. |

the concept of a new consol PIU makes me very happy the only problem i had with the old version was the lack of step charts for all songs on all modes (something that i heard had been fixed in zero) if this new version comes out you can be sure i will be buying it
maybe someone will finnaly make a comprehensive stepchart site for it too _________________

Yeah, Turkey March CZ is really easy if you already know how to move your feet with some minor speed, since the crossovers in it are very minimal compared to something like Pump Me Amadeus HD. _________________

Zero actually added a few charts but took a couple away. Pray is gone from and they removed the crazy/nightmare charts for Drunken In Melody and Too Late.
They added a lot though.
Turkey March cz is just a bunch of drills. If you can do those fine, you can probably also do Csikos Post cz, Vook cz, Wisp cz, and Bee cz. _________________

I'm trying to increase my total score for four stages and need some suggestions. Obviously songs with a lot of freezes, but I need to know some good suggestions.
I'm playing the X-box version and only have one pad. The four I use for my high score now are; X-treme, Monkey fingers, Join the party, and LIADZ. My two lowest are X-treme and LIADZ. There is a lot of room for improvement on LIADZ, but I think I need to change X-treme. |

Essa Maneira is definetly in the top ten.
La Cubanita is also, but there's very few freezes. You need to be a stepper for the score on that, plain and simple.
X-Treme's definetly the hardest on that list, but it's also worth the most(without getting into 14 and 15 territory at least).
Vook's worth a lot, but again, it's drill city. _________________

I guess I should have put my individual scores on each song.
Monkey fingers: 1.4 mil
Join the party: 1.4 mil
X-treme: 1.1 mil
LIADZ: 1 mil
I've tried Essa Maniera and I get around 1 mil.
I get a terrible score on La Cubanita cuz I'm not very familiar with the chart, I'll have to practice it. About how much is the max score on it worth?
I can do pretty good on Vook, but I'll check again to see if my score is high enough to put it in my top 4.
Don't worry about listing songs that are really hard. I've already passed all the songs on the X-box version (on crazy) and I'm just looking for songs that I should work on to get higher scores. And you don't have to suggest Dignity, it's a given, if I can get it above a D
EDIT: And I love your sig synaesthesia. I haven't laughed like that in a while. |

Keep in mind that LiaDZ on crazy on Exceed 2 or Zero is quite a bit harder than Xtreme. If you're playing an older version and getting a million...nice. _________________

It's not the old LIADZ chart. I've seen the old one and I don't even think I could pass it. I can only BS that craziness for so long _________________

A max score on La Cubanita might be 1,2 or 1,3.
It requires a lot of spin/trick stepping to master, but once you get it down, it's lots of fun.
It's also a low BPM, so nothing crazy like X-Treme's 'pumppumppumpitup!' run of death. Just consistent drills. _________________

Crap, I really gotta get La Cubanita down if it is worth that much. But those spins just murder me. I have aced the death runs in X-treme (can't consistently). I guess that the steps in La Cubanita are just my weakness.
Any tips on how to do the odd footwork in La Cubanita?
EDIT:Nevermind about the tips, I tried La Cubanita today and got 1.05 mil on my first try. It's a lot easier for me to just double-step when I find the motion to feel unnatural. _________________

I found Will O the Wisp to be a lot harder than any of those, but then again, I'm not at all proficient at PIU crossovers (which is pretty much the only reason I can't beat upwards of BotW2 CZ). _________________

Hey if you were able to get the rest, then that's a good start. I can't drill to save my life but oh well. Trust me, keep practicing crossovers and one day it'll just all click. _________________

I guess the ratings can be skewed to death for 4-panel players like me going into PIU, because BotW2 CZ, a 17, (mostly drills, only minor crossovers) gives me significantly less trouble than Go (11). _________________

I just got the console version of this game for Xbox (I'm guessing this also started in the arcades). The soft pad that the game comes with doesn't look like any better than the generic, gamestop DDR soft pad. I am just wondering how long it has lasted for others, and what alternatives pads are there for Pump It Up. Any input appreciated. |

The pad is amazing. It should last you just about forever. The only problem is that the diagonal arrows are quite large, so you can't really fold it without making a fold over the sensors. If you keep it stored flat, it will lat you for a long long time.
I got mine for Christmas, and I've been playing all the hardest songs on crazy, and all the sensors still work great. _________________

I haven't really used mine all that much, so I can't speak to its longevity. As far as alternatives go, you may want to head over to www.mymybox.com and take a look at the metal pump pad(s) they're making. Also check out this poll, and vote for the pad with arcade sensors (please). |
