http://www.mymybox.com/nexen.html

Is this something new or just a redesign of their "SOLOMODE" pads? Never heard of this one.. E19.gif

this appears to be a new pad(not another of there cheap-o metal pads) but more of a "compromise." The pad appears to be this, an afterburner with less recressed arrows. I think i might be getting one of theese after i failed to make a pad and the price is great. Overall, i think this is a contender for the metal pad market. I would like someone to buy this before i do and get an in-depth look at the pad. But its either this or the tx-1501 for me. Also, a nice thing to note is the good 6 month warrenty, as apposed to redoctanes weak 3 month warrenty on the afterburner. This shows that this is probably a quality product considering their cheap-o pads have 3 month warrentys. Overall, this seems like a great pad.

Wow, I didn't read over the specs until Marquistadorous pointed those out. This pad looks surprisingly good. Kind of like a Cobalt Flux with the arcade modkit, but for the price of an Afterburner. If I can scrape together $200+shipping costs I might just buy this one.

unfortunately, all of life's problems aren't solved by paying $200 to a less-than-reputable website for a basically untested metal pad. This is not a flux killer, and if you have the $200, I'd stretch it for the flux. Then again, that's me.

Practically though, if somebody on here is going to get this, they should take it apart and take pictures so we can all see what's REALLY going on in there. I'm not saying it's bad, but you can never tell from a website.

Whether it is a flux killer has yet to be seen, so I will not say it is, but also we shouldn't say it isn't jus yet either since the design seems better and like you said, it is untested.

Indeed, there is truth in what you say. I'm impressed by the specs, but at the same time, I've heard some stories about Mymybox recently that make me pretty hesitant to buy from them. If I were to buy one, I'd also like to see one taken apart if at all possible. If I had the money lying around, I would buy one and take it apart myself.

but that was just the control box. he still got the pad and everything....and although it did leave a SLIGHTLY negative impression about mymybox, i still think they're a pretty reliable complany compared to the dredded ebay(i said it). And besides, when im getting a quality arcade-like pad at a TX pad price, i can complain. I'm ordering one as soon as i get the money.

And if it sucks, i got a 6 month warrenty.

Am I the only one that finds this statement a little far fetched?

soo...did they drop the pad from a 20 storey building, or did they leave it on the highway for a week?

although the lexan sounds quite promising

It also appears that they sell a 5-box version for PIU as well. This would be a huge boost to that game since there isn't currently much selection of metal pads available for the US version.
