People who step all over the pad while you're playing.

When I was at the arcade with my cousin on Monday, these three black kids were messing with our games. She was playing Doubles and had just finished her second song, but then they started messing around just stepping on random arrows. They went away for a few seconds but came back when she was on her third song and disrupted her game, making her fail. frust.gif

I hate that. People know better then to stand 3 inches from me when I'm not playing DDR, what makes it OK if they do it when I am?
Sometimes people do it as a result of overreacction. Sometimes they see you doing some easy song, so they run up and get as close to you as they can without accidently raping you and say "OMG U R AWESOM I DIDNT KNO ANY1 COULD B TAHT GOOD AT DRR I THOUGHT HEAVY MODE WAS JUST A JOKE U MUST BE GOD OR SUMTHING LOLOL. When that happens I usually yell something like "Dude your too close‼‼‼", so all of a sudden they are not overreacting anymore and say "OK sorry" and they back away. It's people like THAT, that make me with I wasn't a frick weakling frown.gif

Dude i would like punch them in the face. Freaking people. Some kid did that to me once and i flung my foot back and nailed him in the stomach. He told his mom. I said he was being a cigarette. I got yelled at .Stupid bitc(h) should watch her kid next time. disgust.gif

laugh.gif That's funny.
I hate it when bad parents come and let their 8 year olds run around unsuporvized. If there's a dance machine anywhere the kid can get to, there's a good chance they will get hurt.
I just love to see parent's who are so protective of their children that they don't even let them on the pad I'm not using (before I put in my quarters). That's what I like in a parent.

I hate kids in general.
But when kids interfere with my game playing, they're done for.

Excuse me? I am a kid.
But if you were referring to 5 year olds and such, I'm almost the same. Sometimes a 5 year old will run across that gap between the pads and the machine. I yell "DON'T DO THAT". That usaully stops them. But once this little bumhole didn't stop. I told him about 3 times. I wanted to get off the machine and kick him (hard).
frick child abuse laws...

I don't mind shadowing if it's my friend that's doing it whether they ask first or not since they know that I don't mind. Or if someone that I don't know asks before the song starts and is actually good enough to keep on beat. I only hate it when someone that I don't know starts shadowing without asking me, especially if they clearly can't do the song.

I'm the same way.
But if you think about it, wouldn't it be funny if you were playing ITG and then some n00b came up and tried to shadow you, and then started to fail around all confused like during a handplant? I can imagine what they'd say "Omgz tehre aer 3 arroz tahts impossibel teh gaem is chaeting"

There's this annoying doggy in my school who can barley pass Heavy. When he passes a song with a D or C he usually says that the game is cheating, or that it gave him an unfair grade. Then he rants about it for about 10 seconds. But you really can't expect much when you play DDR like a drunk retarded gorilla on crack (true).

I've encountered some rather intresting people while playing at arcades.
Once directly before I put in my quarters, a group of kids come up to the machine. One of them stands on the other pad and says that I'm gonna suck. Then he says that he's got "real moves" or something like that, so he gets down and does some fancy stuff. I don't pay much attention and put in my quarters. For my first song I pick DXY!. And strangley enough, I didn't suck.
During my second song, whichchocolateIisthinkgoodwas PARANOiA Evolution, he got down on the other pad and did some fancy stuff. Bad move. I accidently kicked him (and I mean it was a real accident)

Yeah, man. I totally agree. There are some serious weirdoes that hit up the arcades (I THRIVE on being weird, and yet I'm not a shining beacon!)
I am always meeting "interesting" people in the arcades, from people who leave their children unattended, to belligerently (I think that's right) drunk guys that thingk they are indestructible (imagine: drunk guy bashing head on DDR screen).

Sounds to me like he got what he deserved. Anyway, about that whole "arcade idea" we had, yeah, sure, age restrictions would be nice, but here's a better idea...or shall I say a more realistic and profitable one, would be to install a fence, and have all the Music Games sectioned off. This way, we keep little kids off the pads....

I either hate it when little kids stand behind the machine or to the close side of it and try and do the steps, or when you are playing with someone who friggin sings while playing.

i remember this funny time

An arcade worker who i know kinda well decided to be annoying (not a surprise) so he put his foot on the down arrow while i was playing (same pad duh). He was getting REally annoying so i stomped REALLY hard on his feet and then i yelled at him and now he doesn't talk to me anymore laugh.gif devil.gif.

He also grew a really ugly beard that makes him look like a homeless dude haha lolz.

He said he was quitting and getting a new job and now i really want him to quit b/c hes annoying as heck

i can b so mean sometimes biggrin.gif

Well... we were all kids at some point... I started out like when I was in the 2nd Grade like 7 years ago. But kids nowadays have no consideration. Oh and the downside to have been a polite kid that was waiting... Teenagers with no consideration cut in front.
Are there any truthful, polite DDR players out there?
One thing that annoys me most: I wait 15 minutes for a game with my coin up there and some kid with his mother or something says my kid's been waiting longer than you. I hate that. Look at the friggin machine!! Coins aren't up there for a decoration!
Or another time: I was playing Legend of MAX and some woman was letting her kid play DDR when I was playing and it totally messes me up. This kid was like 2 years old and fell and I accidentally step on the kid's hand and he starts crying... And I end up failing.
Another thing: Kids that steal marker coins that are up on the machine.

To all the parents: "Watch your kids!" If a person is moving his feet hella fast and is stomping quite loud don't let your kids near the person's feet. Teach your child some consideration and watch what others do to follow the rules and not mislead other DDR players. Also, what the heck are you teaching your kids if they're stealing?

That's enough on my lecture...

It's *just* DDR. Don't get pissed off when people say they can do better than you because it's *just* DDR!
