I'm 14 and I weight 110. I don't have the endurance/skill to play any real 10 footers though. Other then the 10 footers, I can pass all heavy songs on single.
When I was 13 and 90 pounds, I could play even less songs because I couldn't read the notes. |

I'm 14, I'm 5'2'' (or 3, I'm not sure) and weigh 127 lbs. or so. I actually weighed about ten pounds more before I started playing DDR.
My imput on "fat people cant play ddr because you cant get the speed and theyre too heavy": I'm friends with a guy who's quite tall, and a little big, and is 23 years old, but he completely kicked my butt when we did V on Oni. _________________

Alright, Stats are as follows:
Height: 6'3"
Weight: An Earth's crust crumbling 325
Age: 16
Yeah, I'm offended that people think fat (hyperobese I think is the term in my case) people can't play DDR. I'm as fat as they come (while maintaining mobility) and I demolish 9 footers like they're...uh...something that's easily demolishable. This includes doubles, I just passed So Deep heavy doubles tonight. And anyone who witnissted it probably would have agreed that there is some fundamental flaw in Newton's laws. |

C's aren't good, and you're not fat. There has yet to be one succesful argument for the fat kids being as in shape and lean ones. _________________

Until I read this entire thread, I wondered what was lodged soo far up your anus that made you so hostile to obese people and their abilities. Ealier you said that your not good just because someone you know is better than you are, and that this could only be because you're overweight. There are two things wrong with this...
1. You judge whether or not you are good based on other people's performances, this is never a good thing to do. It's very pessimistic, why not judge how good you are based on how many people are NOT as good as you are (which probably is several times the amount of people better than you)?
2. Only insecure and sad individuals blame thier inadaquacies on things that are not directly related to their problem...lack of ability. You say fat people can't be as good as any thin person anywhere, why not? You say they (we) can NEVER be "in shape", well, I dare you to define "In shape", then give me a (or several) reason(s) why, just because of an excess amount of fat, it inhibits us from acheiving this. I said it 'cause I know you can't, but you can try. |

I said I'm not as good, and that weight is a very large contributing factor. If that's not what I said before, then that is what I meant. There are obviously several other reason they're better than me instead of weight. They've played longer, they're PA is better, they're form is better...And I guess you could say that the REAL reason I attacked them is because they bragged about getting C's and barely passing 10's and such. Bragging about stuff (online) that isn't worth bragging about is one of my pet peeves you could say. This is why I never brag about my scores online because I know that I would get ripped a new one by people who are infinately better.

I know that, in comparison to every other 5'11'' 220 pound DDR player in the world, I'm probably one of the better ones. (OMGLAWL!!XD!? is my recall) But still, look at the best players in the world. 0% of them are obese. Now, there are people that have extra weight but can still be in great shape. Look at pro football's offensive lineman. They're 400 pounds and they're in amazing shape.

I didn't say that fat people can't be as good as lean people in anything. I said that fat people can't be as good as lean people in harsh endurance centered physical activity. Like running the 5000 meter or swimming a mile or, in our case, DDR/ITG2. And AGAIN, I never said that a fat person can never be in shape. I can already think of 3 people (including myself) that used to be obese and now we're in better shape because of DDR and sports. And asking me to define what 'in shape' is would be impossible seeing as it's relative depending on the person asked. A fat person's idea of 'in shape' would be different from a world class distance runners. There is no definitive 'in shape.' _________________
