I've gotten used to that.
Anyone that doesn't know my name will call me "The DDR kid". Occasionally they call me "The DDR Master", which is pretty cool.
Cool, but rather innacurate. |

hmm, lemme think
i occasionally start stepping maxx unlimited on the floor when i'm bored, and several other songs as well, (burning heat and maxx unlimited are the only 2 i know by heart, i just improv the others )
i got an mp3 player 3 days ago, it's got ddr and itg songs on it, and i've already drained 2 batteries
i drum songs on my desk at school (it annoys anyone who knows what i'm doing)
i brought my ps2 and a tv to school on the last day (that was fun stuff)
i beg my mom constantly to take me out of town to play an extreme machine (still havent done it, but hey, i've got all 4 ps2 games, so i'm not deprived)
i've played for about 9.5 months, and i've AA'd every max on the controller, and AAA'd max 300, and AA'd every song on heavy and challenge on ddr ex 2 except for psmo (controller)
passed every 10 footer except psmo on a soft pad (meh, it's something)
when i play ddr, it's usually for about 3-4 hours every time
and the coup de grace
i bought ddr mario mix
j/k, good game, and it's what i started with. _________________

I used to be pretty obsessed with DDR, but now its kinda shifted towards ITG a bit.
- I have every PS2 Dancing Game (Including ITG and Beatmania)
- I own a Cobalt Flux (with ITG2 decals)
- I have 3 stepmania programs on my computer. One for keyboarding, one for pad ddr, and one for pad ITG2
- When Cedar Point is closed, I usually go play ITG2 at the arcade every week
- I have an ITG2 poster up in my room, along with a DDR Shirt and a ITG shirt.
I guess thats it. _________________

^-^ i am VERY obsessed....
for one, my name on here is Mel_300;
when i'm bored (most likely in school or when i'm forced to go to church), i finger-tap the beats to songs;
i have mp3s of almost every ddr song you could imagine;
my idea of a fun, friday night is to be at the arcade playing ddr till i pass out;
i sing and hum ddr songs all the time;
i have a good luck charm (a ninja turtle stuffed animal) that i put on top of the machine while i play...
that's all i can think of right now, but that's about as obsessed as you could get XD _________________

I do some of that. I finger tap stuff when I'm bored, listen to DDR music sometimes, and my idea of fun is the same. In fact, every Friday I beg my mom to take me until she does.
Wow, I forgot a lot in my list, didn't I? |

I play almost every single day.
I visit arcade every week to play.
I've spent money for wires, sheets of metal, soldering iron, and spent hours on modding my metal 2 mymybox dance pads
I also had a soft pad and 2 plastic pads (now non-working)
Been in a couple tournaments (one was dance fever tournament)
Have driven up to 2 hours or more to play Extreme and 3rd mix.
Dressed up as Rage and made my own cardboard dance pad for Halloween 2005.
I have stepmania on my PC.
I made CD's for friends with original graphic designs.
Created arrow graphics for a friend's dance pad.
Created spreadsheet to list my AAA's.
Obtained imported copies of Japanese versions and modded my PS1.
Made a huge scrapbook about me, my friend, and DDR (gave as gift)
One reason for losing some weight currently is to be able to play better.
I know, boring zzz, but just some examples of my obsession for DDR. I started playing in 2003 and its been a blast ever since! thanks Konami. |

How do you only PA occasionally if you're also only freestyling occasionally? What are you doing in between? |

I think he just goes for a full combo or maybe just try to pass the song at other times. Example applied: I can't pass Max Period whenever I want to because that song reaches over 600 bpm without mods. so I would try to get a full combo on 2x until the death run and then just try to keep the meter up since I can't read arrows that seem to just flash at the bottom . _________________

Oh yeah, I am vey obsessed with the game. If I get bored, this game is my first choice. If I get too many problems, I play this game as a means to calm down. So much more to that but I can draw the signs of the obvious everyday. _________________

Not playing DDR. Everytime I play DDR, I AA or nearly AAA a song. When I freestyle, I get tired...horribly fast so I switch back to PA. If not then I'll play some Initial D or Puzzle Fighter. _________________

My list may not be AS nerdy as some of the ones here but I think it's a pretty modest achievement.
*When my local arcade's DDR machine broke I wore black for a week out of mourning.
*People wore I <3 NY shirts, I wear a I <3 DDR shirt.
*I did my 8th grade project about DDR and muscle coordination
*My chemistry project was to make a brand of soap and market it so we made Soap Soap Revolution extra strength.
*The arcade knows me by name
*The arcade has my machine reserved for me when I walk in every night.
*My cheerios look like they're arrows
*I stayed at my friends house all night because my DDR pad was broken
*This website is my homepage
*I tried to get out of P.E. by claiming DDR is a sport
*I convinced my Spanish teacher to let us play in her classroom during class
*I was accepted into Asian club on basis of skill alone
*Where most people wear livestrong bracelets, I ordered a DDR Strong bracelet. _________________

I have StepMania. I don't have the original stepcharts of any DDR songs, but whatever.
I go to the mall at least twice a week to play DDR.
I only play it for about a total of 30 minutes each time, but whatever. The mall still has Spencer's and EB. _________________

how obsessed am I??? this is gonna be fun.
when i close my eyes i see DDR even in my sleep and dreams,
I drink protein shakes almost everytime i play DDR at my house (every day almost),
I've been called obsessed with DDR from ALL my friends,
I've ditched my friends to go play DDR for more than one occasion,
It's all I talk about to people I don't really know,
I have 6 non metal mats,
I have 1 metal mat in the making about to be 2,
My MP3's playlist consist of only DDR songs,
I hum and sing DDR songs in public and at work constintly,
Youtube is my best friend to watch others be remarkably good when I'm stuck at home,
Random people and all the employees at my arcade know me by name,
I burn CDs for my friends for the hell of it that just consist of DDR songs.
Much more but thats it right now. _________________
I once said to a friend of mine, "I want to make a song that dosn't end..."
He looked at me for a few seconds and asked,"Why don't you?"
He got smacked for that one. |

The employee thing seems to be common. At my bowling ally the manager and one of the ladys that works at the bar know my name, and everyone else that works there reckognizes me whenever I go there. I've even gained sort of a reputation with people who go there. It's kind of cool. |

That'd be great. The closest thing I've ever gotten to free games was free soda. Once the manager there, who I should add is very nice, gave me a free soda. She saw me playing, and had probably heard of me from the employees, and offered me a soda. At first I didn't want to, but she insisted. Then this other time as I walked to a table to put down my large coke so I could go to the bathroom, she came over and said that next the I needed a soda I just HAD to let her buy it for me. Of course, I didn't. I don't want to mooch off of people like one of my friends does. |
